My Amethyst Pear Ring

Okay PSers - here''s another from my collection.

I just got this one back frim 23rd Street Jewelers. I sent them the stone & they did the setting. It''s a 9ct amethyst pear cut. Even though amethyst is my birthstone, purple is not one of my favorite colors. But I did like this stone for it''s very soft lavender color. The setting is platinum & diamonds.

This is meant to be a fun ring - not taking itself seriously! It''s already been promised to my daughter. I think she will pry this one off my finger long before she gets the peridot!

From the side...the way the jeweler did the basket is very smart. The base keeps the redunkulously huge stone from twisting on my finger. It is unbelieveably easy to wear!

This is my favorite shot of the ring on my hand. Some of the photos came out a bit pinky overall color wise - but its still pretty much what the stone looks like in real life.

I had a fun time designing this ring with Jessica at 23rd. She and I have such similar taste that we were finishing each others sentences. I''m sure I will be getting them to do more custom work for me in the future.

And here''s my favorite ring picture ever! The amethyst pear on my little daughter''s hand. I actually don''t think the ring looks that crazy huge on her either.

I can''t wait until she is older & we can start buying her some pretty things of her own. She is such a girly glitter loving girl - we''re going to have some fun! I pretty much designed this ring with her in mind - very girly, soft and dainty but still a diva princess. LOL!

I''ll have to come up with some clever way of photographing them all at once. I still have bunches more to show you guys! Maybe I''ll have to figure out how to make a poll of what I should show you next....and then what I should have made next....and then what things I "need" to get to fill out my collection...

Obsessed much? LOL! It''s a sickness for sure. That''s what comes of growing up a tomboy I guess - the backlash has been fierce. LOL!

I flat out love this ring! If it were a ring for me, I would probably need to go a little smaller; I'm not sure I have the hutzpah or panache to carry that size off! The color is gorgeous.

It is built very similiar to my pear aquamarine halo RHR. And you're right, the basket does keep the ring from spinning around.
