#JOTW My 5.4 carat Pear E-ring upgrade

Hi Ladies,

I started down the upgrade journey this year for our 15 year anniversary. I initially wanted to get larger Oval but my jeweler brought in different fancy shapes and this juicy pear stole my heart. The shape was just perfect to me but I was hesitant. Was I making the right choice for such an expensive upgrade? Decided to go for it and ran it by @yssie to get her thoughts. So I picked her up few days ago. I can’t seem to capture the insane sparkle I see in real life. Here she is 5.4 carat J SI1 -14.11x10.18 x6.35

I got the matching eternity band to sit flush with ring. Also RG eternity is being made now for stacking options. I tried the emerald eternity but I’m not sure how I feel about them with the pear tbh. I want the Pear to be the star and not have any competition. I don’t like things that aren’t flush and the gap kinda bugs me. Love to hear you thoughts on the bands

I was concerned but its weird as I only see it from some angles.

No, that's a good thing! Usually the bowtie is present and sometimes quite pronounced, distracting, no matter the angle. Pear is a finicky cut and you found a beautiful stone that directs the eye around the faceting evenly. It stands out because it's proportioned so well!
