Hi Pricescopers!

Happy times - my diamond arrived from James Allen today! It''s just in one of those temporary tension settings for now (going to Leon on Wednesday, woohoo!), but I''m wearing it at my desk right now for a short while - very exciting!

Here''s the link to the stone - it''s a 2ct GIA EX-EX-EX I Si1, and scores a 1.5 on the HCA. It''s facing up SO white, even here in my no-natural-light office (no natural light PLUS beige walls - eugh, not optimum diamond viewing place!). Seriously, it just seems to GLOW white!

Apologies for the AWFUL pics - I only have my iPhone with me, which just can''t take close ups. But you can get a sense of it! It actually looks a bit bigger in the pics, b/c it''s glowing!

I''m so excited to be one (big!) step closer to having my finished ring. When we started looking, about 6 weeks ago, I never imagined I would have a stone this size - we looked in high end B&M stores at first, and were looking at about 1.15ct Novos in our budget. They were absolutely BEAUTIFUL rings, of course, but I really loved the look of a larger center stone.

I''m so happy that, after investing time getting to know more about diamonds, and more about our options, and Pricescope-recommended vendors, we''re able to get a 2ct, set in a Novo/Harry Winston inspired (ie. thin pave shank!) custom Leon Mege piece - woohoo!

This site is just wonderful - I''ve passed it on to any/all of my friends who might remotely be in the market for a ring!

I''m going to ask Leon to make a blend of these two of his settings:

- ...combined with delicate pave on the shank (half way around) like this one: (please ignore the halo - I just LOVE the shank!

The final design detail that I may implement is seeing if Leon can very subtly include an "M" (or rather a "W" - so an upside-down "M"!) in the prongs, as that''s my fiance''s initial.

Thanks guys! My ring size is 5. I think these blurry pics make the stone look a bit bigger than it is - I''ll try to take a few with a proper camera tonight/tomorrow and post one or two - if that isn''t overkill!

Anywhere else it would feel like showing off - but I feel that here on PS, you can never have too many pics, right?!

The diamond is beautiful and looks huge! A 2ct on a size 5 is huge....

I think the seting will be beautiful and can''t wait to see it. The thin band will make it look huge as well.

I'll keep that in mind when I get mine. (note to self - when trying to show off move hand real fast so ring is a blur = will make it look bigger LOL
