Absolutely! I have a MRB, a true antique OEC, and an AVC. I truly enjoy the look of the larger facets of the OEC and AVC more so than the MRB; I love the MRB but in a different way. It is definitely more splintery and less fiery than the older style larger faceted cuts. I don't know that I'd ever give up my MRB, just because I think I'd miss it if it were gone (and I think the SBF fluor is cool...). But I'd sure love an AVR! I could look at those old style cuts all day... love the colors they throw off.![]()

But I decided on the AVR because it is exceptionally beautiful and far more rare than an ideal cut round. And bottom, line, I just enjoy looking at it!!! Naturally your larger AVC is going to act differently than a smaller AVR. If you had an AVR the same weight as your AVC, you'd see a big difference! But I think you have the perfect combination other than you may want to eventually upgrade to a larger AVR. I LOVE my 2 ct one! The 1.8 I AVR he has is gorgeous, too!!! And he has several J's close to and over 2 cts as well.
And I wish you'd post some more pics of your 2.5 ct AVC in that gorgeous setting!!!!

Here is the dilemma - they are both around the same price but the MRB is so much bigger and higher in colour:
