I really like this one for an asscher. I want something with a little more character than a plain solitaire.

Or this one... opinions?

i like the second one

Hmm... both are quite nice. I think I might prefer the first one, but it depends on how big the stone is compared to the setting. If it's too small or too big, it might look a little out of proportion.

EDIT: yep, I really like the first one. if you're looking for something with more interest than a normal solitaire, go for it, it looks very pretty

I really LOVE this first one posted. Very nice~! That would definately SHOW your asscher off!

I found a couple examples of asscher in similar settings as what you posted.

The one with tapered baguette sides looks like (orig thread):

I vote for setting 1!

** edited because now that I look at it again, the second set of pic I posted don't look like setting 1 **

And the first one is sorta looks like (found here):

I like them both, but I think #1 is more unique and has a little more character.

#1 it is!!!!

Actually that's the one I like as well. It has the "feel" of some of the antique engraved ones, but is a bit more elegant in my opinion. I like the detail, but don't think it'll distract from the stone itself.

Thanks for all the help guys....I'll start one last thread for my final question about getting my ring.
