Just in from my vacation and have gotten some good intel for once

My gf loves Lillies. In fact, her nick is Lillie, short for Elizabeth. Thus if it''s entirely possible I''d love to incorporate her favorite flower into an Ering setting...

Unfortunately I''ve not come across any and for the life of me I can''t figure any way of adding those delicate petals to a ring and having it look correct. That would be why I''m a photographer and not someone who can draw ;-)

Anyone seen one or have any suggestions?

TIA

These come from just one manufacturer Lili diamonds.

I was lookign for the version of the "tulip settign" at Icestore, but their sire doesn't open. below is a more generic version.
You may find more flowe-shaped settings on THIS thread too.

Here's another proprietary cut that makes the diamond (almost!) look like 4 flower petals:

However, if getting a proprietary cut doesn't appeal much, then there's always this route (4 marquise diamonds + 1 round in the middle):

All these pics can be found on Boodle & Dunthorne's website.

Your could have the band carved with lillies.. I had a ring made by Tom Herman from Seven Fingers with Ginko leaves, he does wonderful work.. Here's a link to his site.

If I were buying, I would avoid a lot of the "cutesy" things. I doubt if they will wear well over time. How about incorporating a fleur-de-lis into the setting? Maybe fleur-de-lis filigree in the undergallery?

Thanks!

My problem is I *love* the D.Vatche Truffle ring, 3 stone. I am leaning towards Emerald / tsaranite side stones... and somehow want to cram in a Lilly. The Fleur-de-lis is an excellent idea, just don't know how to incorporate it.

But I've got until November... heh heh heh.

She saw a sapphire necklace that had the 5/6 pieces 'magnetized' to come together to make a pendant. In love with it, now I'm searching for that too.

The crossed prongs on the truffle ring are not unique to DVatche... so it can be combined easily to any other design elelemt.

A few designers make "floral" rings, but I found a couple of settings at Viachy more inspiring... one for the shank (the one on black background) and another for the head shaped like petals - the same concept used by the "tulip setting" and the one from icestore posted below.
