minousbijoux, here is a thread that I think teaches you the difference between a square emerald cut and an asscher. I think in reality a lot of people use both terms interchangeably, but there are some differences if you want to be precise. Hope this helps :

I.Am.Speechless. Wow! That ring would cause me to have an accident if I spotted someone wearing it! I'd be so distracted trying to crane my head for a better look that I'd either crash my car or walk into a telephone pole!
