Hey Everyone :)

The project is moving along! I am so excited, we are on the last images of the project.
I know everything looks "big" but Michael E did assure me that the final product will be more delicate and feminine. There will be a lot of
final touches on the entire ring once its back to him. He sent me a detailed image of the "Fleur de Lys" prong on the tip of the pear. I am REALLY loving the image and the style of the prong.

Here are the CADS, Everything is in proportions: the pear and the side trillions.
I really cannot wait to se the final result! :)

More details of the "fleur de lys" prong :) I love the swooping curves on the sides...

I know you are getting excited....very pretty!!! BTW, what size ring do you wear?

I am about a 5.75 ( more in the summer ) and a little less in the winter. I have East Coast Fingers lol
Thank you for the comments :)

Your fingers are pretty small, and the ring looks wide in this picture. Have you gotten measurements so that it won''t be rubbing on the sides of your other fingers?

Remember, the bulkiness will be rounded and being more feminine. So these broad shoulders will not really be like that when the ring is done...
Yes, he measured, it will be fine :)

That is great......with that BIG gorgeous yellow....Lemony.....it''s gonna be AWESOME. How long will it take to get the ring finished?

Those are wonderfully detailed CADs. I think the only place it looks even remotely bulky is the shoulders, so when you account for the weight that will come off with polishing etc the rest of the ring seems like it will be phenomenally delicate!

Wearing it will feel so different from your current ring I bet. I think this version will get a LOT of attention.

VERY cool! Michael E. is awesome to work with!

This is great cad work. I haven''t seen CADs done this well in a long long time!

I really loved your old setting, but the new one looks like it will be AMAZING. Can not wait to see it IRL on your hand. But with that BEautiFUL stone how could anything not be perfect.

Hey There Dreamer!

Yes you are right. Michael E did warn me about the bulkiness in the CAD near the shoulders. He somewhat has to make the ring "bulkier" so when he gets it back, it gives him more to work with, like forming curves, tapering lines etc. If he spent too much time on "prettier" pictures, it might render a CAD that wouldn''t be viable for "real" life. I guess, you have the eye for "what could it be once done" type of vision :) I am glad you see it too :)

THank you for the kind words... :)

Hey !
I think in 3 weeks, things should be done :) I wanted to get this done for my 40th. Yikes... I can''t believe that I''ll be 4-0 in less than 3 weeks

Oh my... You are not the only one who wants to see it done!!! :) Lemony is a nice size, that is true, but trying to design an elegant setting without looking too gaudy is a nice challenge in itself. I am really fortunate that Michael E. was up to the challenge, and it looks like it will be awesome too! :)

that is amazing. it is going to be so fluid and delicate irl! I can''t wait to see it!!!

Bella -

Me too, i can''t hardly wait!!! :)

I can''t wait to see the real thing cause now... I have to say I prefer the old setting... Am I crazy?

I think the yellow gold hurt me... but one more time... when you said the setting will be more delicate I think it''s a good thing.

Amethyste - those Fleur de Lys prongs are GORGEOUS!!! Can''t wait to see how it comes out! When will everything be done?

What a wonderful present for your big 4-0! It''s classy, and so elegant -- heirloom quality. I love the fleur de lis prongs. The design has a certain "presence" if you know what I mean.

What do you mean by the yellow gold hurt you?

I know there are a lot of people in the "I love the old setting bandwagon" and that "you are crazy to change the setting"... But the matter of the fact is, I am not loving it. I don''t want my diamond sitting in a gold cup for the rest of my life, since it is a real problem to get this clean on a daily basis.
But I understand to each its own... For me, I am excited to see my pear without any enhancements, to be enjoyed for what she is.

We designed the prongs together michael and I... So i think it is cool. I love flowers and wanted to incorporate something "Flowery" in this... and this prong style is it!
I think in 3 weeks or so, it should be ready! :) Exciting!

Thank you Sara for the nice comments... I do think it is classy, timeless in a way... :)

Three weeks seems like forever when waiting for that beautiful new setting. Waiting for the 40th doesn''t seem like so long. You won''t even notice the birthday when you''re celebrating that ring.

Looks great!
