Missy - thinking of you today.

Oh, Missy! I can't believe you guys had to deal with surgery now, of all times. So glad to hear it went well and he's relatively comfortable. Much dust sent for a quick painless-as-possible recovery!

So glad that he got some sleep last night! I hope the rest pass soon and as easily as possible.

Great news Missy! Glad things went well. Wishing Greg a speedy recovery. Take care Q:wavey:

Dear missy-

I hope that Greg has a pain-free day and that you and he can begin to unwind from the trauma of his surgery. My thoughts and prayers are with both of you.

Hugs,
Deb

Oh missy! I am just catching up on this thread & wowzers, you guys are really having a time of it at the moment!

So glad to read it went well & that he's home & resting. Dust for a swift recovery & I'm glad he has the lovely you there to look after him. He's undoubtedly in the best hands x

Hi Missy!:wavey:
You can buy the supplements off Amazon. It's botanical name is Phyllanthus niruri.
https://rain-tree.com/chanca.htm
[this site sells it (normally I wouldn't use commercial for cited source) but is a nice springboard compilation to what studies there are.] You have to know how to hunt otherwise.
You can also take tincture or drink tea from loose leaf. I would suggest also buying a vial of the tincture for acute pain(it's awful, really, really, awful but it is the most concentrated) but because he's just had lithotripsy it's a great time to start pill form, I usually switch between PeruvianNaturals and NaturalisomoLife. There are many to choose from.
(this is the exhaustive on every type of stone there is!) I send it to you mostly for the pictures. Just know that the majority of stones tend to be calcium based and Chanca Piedra will help with all of those and the Uric types as well.
I know the vomit and then pass out from pain shuffle and feeling like you're being rent in two from the inside. This helps. Give him a hug from a another kidney warrior. It is real and it is terrifying when it happens.

@missy I’m so glad your husband’s procedure went well!

My husband has been in the ER at least a dozen times with kidney stones, The last time he was throwing up in the waiting area and another guy not 10 feet away was also throwing up from kidney stones :-o

They gave him a strainer to catch the stones at home so a lab could analyze them. Then they prescribed medicine that my husband won’t take :x2 But he does mix lemon juice into his water and that seems to have helped for the type of stone that he develops. He hasn’t passed a (painful) stone in a couple of years.

As for anesthesiologists, I had one who chipped my front tooth and didn’t acknowledge it. But at least I’m here to complain about it :)

Between my gallstones and my husband’s kidney stones we could form a rock band.

Missy, So glad the report is positive! I hope the recovery continues to go smoothly.

Hi Missy, I'm late to the thread. Here's wishing Greg a speedy recovery! Stay safe both of you.

How are things in NJ ?
How is Greg ?
did you back to Brooklyn for his surgery ?
Also may i gently enquire after Tommy
i can't find the other thread
Take care, be safe, get well and eat icecream my friends =)2

Thank you everyone for your continued well wishes. Greg is doing well. We dropped off the remnants of what he passed so far and hopefully within a few weeks we will know what materials compose the stones.

Also may i gently enquire after Tommy

He is not doing well. :( My heart is breaking all over again. Yesterday was the one year anniversary of Francesca's death. It was a very hard day. We are both missing Francesca and Fred and I fear Tommy will be next and truth be told Bobby is also not doing great. I just mention it because you asked and also if you could hold good thoughts for them. I don't want to talk about it though further right now if that is OK. Just any good thoughts for Tommy and Bobby are greatly appreciated.

Thank you @CareBear @Sparkles88 @jaaron @TooPatient @Queenie60 @AGBF @Alex T @DiaDiva @asscherisme @SallyB

@ItsMainelyYou thank you again. Info shared with Greg and we will be looking into everything you recommended. Thanks so much.

@SallyB I am sorry your DH suffers from kidney stones too. Greg was straining his urine and we brought a sample of the stones to the urologist's office yesterday so hoping we can figure out how to decrease his stone formation. I am sorry you deal with gall stones and boo to the anesthesiologist who chipped your tooth and wouldn't take responsibility. :(

LOL on forming a rock band with all the stones you guys produce.

@TooPatient good luck with the rest of your exams. You rock in a non kidney stone/gall stone sort of way lol. You can do it!

@mrs-b continued good thoughts being sent your way. Looking forward to Per Se in non covid times. I love their menu.

@jaaron I hope all the family is recovered and well. Thanks for thinking of us.

@Alex T I owe you an email. So much is going on here. I have not shared most of it believe it or not. If I ever doubted our resilience and strength this is putting it to the test. Hope you and your dh and kiddos are all well and thriving.

@AGBF how are you and how is your DD and her FI doing? Is he behaving I hope? I hope that all is going smoothly and no one in your household is stressing you. Sending you warm hugs.

Thanks again everyone. Appreciate the continued good wishes.

I send lots of love and prayers for strength, missy.

Hugs,
Deb
