Hallo, dear lady. I'm thinking of you and Greg today and wishing you both all good things. Sending you hugs, warm thoughts, and the blingiest fairy dust that life has to offer! I'm praying for a quick, smooth procedure, with a perfect outcome for Greg, and confidence and peace for you.

Re speaking with surgeons - you always speak with your surgeon before a general anaesthetic, and I've taken my phone with me in the past and had it on speaker with Tim on the other end, so he could hear what the surgeon says. I know it's a bit late to be saying this, but in case Greg hasn't gone in yet, call him and ask him to take his phone, so you can be on speaker when he talks to the surgeon.

Much love and many, many hugs to you, dear girl. <3

Thank you so much @mrs-b and I am thinking of you too. You are a dear for caring about us with all you are going through. Big (((hugs))) to you.
And bucketloads of good luck ***dust***.

I did ask for the anesthesiologist to call me and the surgeon too. Greg just called and the anesthesiologist is a jerk and wouldn't get on the phone. Unbelievable right? I just hope he knows what he is doing. Greg is waiting for the surgeon now.

Try not to worry @missy, I’m sure the anaesthetist is just focussed on doing his job and doing it well. We’re thinking of you and waiting to hear that Greg is out of surgery and recovering well. Xxx

Yes you might be right. It's just that in pre Covid days I would have been with Greg in pre surgery (as I was able to do this past December) and I would have been able to speak with the anesthesiologist who is arguably the most important surgical team member. But hopefully his behavior doesn't reflect on his ability as an anesthesiologist.

I have found them not to be very communicative, unlike the surgeon, so just hang in there, I’m sure all will be well.

I’m sending all positive thoughts over to you Missy and your husband!

♥️ Sending ((Hugs)) and good wishes for a quick and successful procedure! ♥️

Thank you @Lessics and @Slick1
Already we are delayed...surgeon isn't here and it was supposed to have started 20 minutes ago...

Sending best wishes to you and your husband!

<sigh>

I'm so sorry, Missy. Hoping he's gone in now and is out again in double quick time. ox

ETA Ugh - just refreshed the page and saw your post about the surgeon being delayed. Waiting here in Boston with you.....

@missy - he *must* be in by now...yes?

Well wishes to you and Greg, @missy . hugs across the miles

And thanks, @mrs-b , for starting the thread

In and out woohoo!
Surgeon did not call me beforehand.
Waiting with Greg in recovery.

Surgeon has 6 patients back to back so not sure if we’re going to get to talk with him.

We don’t have any details as to what was done and if he has a stent again. Nurses don’t know and we’re all waiting for surgeon.

Greg says hi.

I am glad to see he is in recovery! Hopefully he heals up well and quickly! Take care of yourself too Missy. Surgery is rough on caregivers too <3

@missy Woo hoo :wavey: waving back to you and Greg! Tell him to behave and listen to the medical staff! :D

Yay! Glad he's out and saying hello. Thinking of you today, Missy.

Best wishes for a quick easy recovery! Hugs to you & healing dust to Greg!

From what I can see, the surgery was a success! Greg looks fantastic! Tell him "hello" from me, too.

Major hugs and love,
Deb :wavey:

So surgeon came by. 2 stones still in kidney. Large. Surgeon did nothing to those. His words were “let sleeping dogs lie”. So he broke up one that was in the ureter so hopefully that will pass. No stent put in after the original one was removed today. So we shall see. Waiting for his antibiotics and pain meds and one other med before we can leave.

Thanks everyone!!!

@mrs-b GOOD LUCK and bucketloads of good vibes being sent your way. 4 more hours. Praying it goes well. ❤

Thank goodness! I hope he can rest comfortably now at home! I am so relieved for you that this is finally over after being delayed for so long.
Continued well wishes to Greg!

Sounds good! if the surgeon is okay with letting sleeping dogs lie I think it's the best course. Glad for NO STENT. MIss you.. I'm relieved, so relieved and Missy, you need Missy time.. please. I hate Covid-19 I'd come up seriously.. Dan and Anne are going to the Catskill house for the summer, I could stay in their house.. Give Greg my super love.. (((((((MISSY & GREG))))))))))
