Although I agree with PP about a lot of things, by now I would think most regular PSers would know that PP does not care about how things are worded, nor does she care that she may offend someone.

Nice try though.

nope, she don''t give a dam what others think.

it''s okay, some of us feel the same way about what she thinks.

Very sad. His music brought joy to millions of people. He was clearly a troubled soul, and I hope he is at peace now.

Good riddance. My world is a better place without him in it as I have NO doubts about his child molesting ways. As to his musical talent, he had some but I can think of several more talented musicians IMO. Stevie Wonder or Carlos Santana were more talented. Jackson was an entertainer and a great one. Unfortunately his sleazy proclivities managed to make that point moot.
I think the only persons who could have NO doubt about his child molesting ways are those that may have been molested themselves.

To say that Michael Jackson had ''some'' talent and that musicians like Stevie Wonder and Carlos Santana are more talented than him is a gross understatement, in my opinion. Not to say that Carlos and Stevie aren''t talented -but I don''t think their talents compare to the kind of multifaceted talent (singing, dancing, choreography) and broad appeal that Michael had.

seriously, there is a time and a place. "Good riddance" after someone has just died??? This is an entertainer who people grew up with and is intertwined with their childhood memories, and all the scandals for what they're worth were never proven and even worse were the sickening vultures involved who literally paraded their kids around neverland in HOPES something would happen ($$$ signs all the way).

I have a lot more to say but not going to waste my breath. PP is a very angry person with little to no compassion (not talking about this particular thread) and it comes out in almost every direction. I'm taking a break from these threads, sometimes it's just a channel for certain people to funnel opinions no normal person in the real world would give 2 seconds to.

My heart goes out to his family and friends.

I hope he is at peace now.

Here is one of my favourites
Nice. I don't recall ever hearing that one. If I did, it must have been long ago and I've forgotten.

Its pretty old, probably from Off The Wall era, I think it was on that album

Was playing Billie_Jean this morning. Another favorite...

Amazing talent. No one will ever have what he had. I don''t care what anyone says. There is no disputing.

I am so depressed today.

A couple of early ones The Love you Save and ABC
Love ABC. His voice was so sweet back then.
It was, I loved the Jackson Five and he had a wonderful voice in those days.

Adios, Michale Jackson, Adios

I stayed up late last night and flipped back and forth between about 4 channels that were playing videos and other footage. Was cool to watch Beat It and Thriller again after so many years.

Gosh I''m so saddened today by all of this. We watched several shows last night as well on Michael. BET is playing all of his music videos. They are doing it today as well, I noticed before I left the house. Looking back at those videos makes me remember all the great music he gave us. I''m so happy I was touched by him in my life. I feel that he had a true impact on me. I used to dance and dance in front of the mirrors in my basement as a child to his music (toting my Michael Jackson silver glove and microphone around) I think he''s the one who got me started into dancing. For some reason I feel like a part of me is missing because he was so much apart of my childhood growing up....I''ll surely miss him and his talent. There wont be anyone out there like him ever again.

This is such a sad day

I mourn the loss of MJ pre-scandal days, and of course I''m sad that he has passed. His music has definitely shaped all of our lives in some way. I know for myself his music was a huge part of what I listened to during my formative years, probably from the time I was 6-7 yrs. old through my early 20''s.

I''m really sad about Michael Jackson''s passing.

When I was a baby my dad used to put me to sleep by playing the "Thriller" album and walking me around the house. What a tragic end to a tragic life.

Nobody is perfect. He had his inner battles with his personal demons. But to say he''s less talented than Carlos Santana is so absurd it''s almost blasphemous. His talent as a global entertainer is legendary. Go to Korea or Japan, even Russia. Chances are more people know of MJ than they do Carlos Santana.

I''m going into mourning now...

TMZ is reporting that they are currently undergoing his autopsy.

Strange information....his doctor who gave him a shot of demerol yesterday is missing. They towed his car away from Michael''s home....

My old Michael Jackson records are in the garage. Unfortunately I don''t have a record player that works anymore. Rats.

Anyone else listening to Michael on youtube today? http://www.youtube.com/michaeljackson

I am sad...
I hope he has found peace...

"He was about to embark on a 50 date sold out tour, and could have done endless dates I'm sure with the same result."

No, Trillionaire, he was not about to do any such thing. It has been already noted this morning on some newscasts (and some of us knew when we saw the guy do them), that the 'announcement' of his upcoming concerts in London was done by an impersonator, not Michael himself. This guy does sold out concerts to die-hard fans as a Michael Jackson tribute; he was the person that was chosen by the MJ camp to pose as Michael to promote these concert dates. Those who bought tickets were duped into thinking Michael could even perform anymore. The concerts were never really going to take place . . . unless the MJ camp had also signed the guy on to actually perform.

Michael had been ill and almost completely reclusive for a number of years now. He WAS a great talent. He WAS an icon. And at his death all he was was sad, lonely, depressed, and very nearly nutso. And regardless of any actual or imagined improprieties with youngsters, he had long ago ceased being relevant, or even being himself.

The last 15 years of his life, and the tragic trajectory of his downhill slide, should have prepared everyone for his unfortunate end. And our mourning for the loss of his talent should have taken place long ago.

Growing up in the 80''s, I always listened to MJ and his video''s were just mind-blowing. I''ll never forget watching him moonwalk for the first time and thinking he had magic powers.

I also remember this from the 70''s -- anyone out there remember "Free to Be You and Me" from Marlo Thomas? Kind of ironic what he is singing about in this video..I think Michael is singing with Roberta Flack but not sure.

Article from cbsnews.com

Interesting article about Jackson''s upcoming tour and the impact his death may have on the promoters, arenas, etc. I know Michael Jackson was controversial, but I just loved him, and I really felt sorry for him. I hope he''s at peace now, and I''m grateful to him for all the great childhood memories, awesome music, and his influence on our culture, music, and dance that we still enjoy today. My condolences to his loved ones.
