Meet Roxy - my new three stone oec and omc ring

I am trying to do my part since I have read that people have still been collecting but not posting. I am guilty of this with my last purchase, but I have been crazy with work and other things. Plus, I felt a bit of guilt for buying it as I was not intending to make another big bling purchase this year - BUT THEN! The lovely @Inked put a three stone up for sale; you may remember seeing it. She ended up taking that post down because she ended up swapping out the center. Inked and I chat all the time - she's an amazing person and so fun to talk to!! Anyway I knew of her plan to swap the stones, and I jokingly mentioned that I should buy it, and she quoted me a price that I just could NOT say no to. She was kind enough to send it to me and test drive it awhile before making a final decision. It did not take long - when I got it I was like "done and done" lol. Thank you so much @Inked !!!!

I don't name all my rings, but the name Roxy immediately came to mind (get it - Rocks-y - LOL ) and also @Inked certainly has Moxy so that is another reason I thought of it. It works well with Petra my solitaire (which also means rock - I am so original lol).

The center stone is an OEC GIA M VS 1.64 and the sides are uncerted old mines but they are more colorless than the M. I'm annoyed at my camera because it doesn't take good pictures and vids! When I film the stones look warmer than irl. So I am using Inked's photo first, then a couple of mine. Also youtube compresses vids and makes them lower resolution - boo. But you get the idea.

I love the faceting on the center stone, and that setting is beautiful. Perfect finger coverage! I love ornate settings… I feel like there’s so much focus on the stones, that the potential for a beautiful detailed setting is lost. It’s the little things, and this ring is the complete package! Congrats!

The day I was filming I had my solitare on my left. I change it up so it’s not specifically for right or left. Lately I’ve been wearing on the left which is always more comfortable for me even though I am so addicted to bling that I usually have something on the right too haha!

This is terrible but I don’t remember and I’m going to let @Inked chime in for that hahaha but the side stones are about 6mm - I think they are .90 each so about 3.4 total ct for all three.

My original 3 stone proportions wish was 8mm center and 1/2 ct sides where the center was bigger proportionally but again I fell in love with this one and she again was very generous price wise with me so I could not say no lol she was even almost trying to talk me out of it! But when I saw it I was like:

Even though there are many other things I should prioritize I think I have no choice and my next project will need to be collecting side stones for my 1.89ct. My diamond is 8mm and the current sides are 4.3mm MRBs. I do love my ring, but as we’ve discussed, I think it would look better with larger sides and I would prefer antique cuts. I think 5.5-6mm would be perfect. The challenge will be finding cuts that complement my big boi because the cut is unusual. Still I have seen a few.

I like wearing my five stone in my left and I often wear my three stone on my RH. I don’t know why but it feels balanced to me. You could totally wear your soli in the RH if you wanted.

I think we need a family photo of your collection, at least your most special pieces! I’d also love closer pictures showing the faceting if you can get any. I’m curious about the cut of these stones.

I'm so glad you love it! The sides are 1.85 total weight I/J color SI1 (according to the seller!) in platinum I will say the seller gave me the stats on the center and I sent to GIA and it came back exactly what they said. It came from London which i thought was kind of cool! I always like to think of the history of our true antique pieces and for some reason London makes it cooler... I read too many historical romance novels...

I am so glad you love it!! I know there was a lot of confusion with my swapping the stones back and forth and trying to keep all the rings straight and three stones straight... I look in my camera roll and cant tell which is mine and which is yours ... hahahaha

Well I am over the moon! For my next bling project I started putting away funds for what I thought was going to be a diamond stud upgrade, but then I started thinking that if I were going to spend that amount of money, that I want to be able to SEE it, and that an even larger engagement ring is what I should do. I have a 2 ct oec with baguette side stones, but there was one ring that I had been eyeing for almost a year. After putting some more funds away and trying to sell my current OEC, my husband just said to go ahead and purchase the ring I had always loved despite not having sold...

That one and my one in gold are my daily drivers (alternating). And the 3 stone will be a main driver too.
