thanks for posting the introduction!

I wish Donna Baker all the best in her new position. Thanks for giving us the article.

gee no comments about cleaning up the mess GIA has become.
They seriously need to bring someone from the outside in to kick butt.

Destino from Cartier...
Fortunoff from ......
Mehta from RB....
Hass former DDC president...
Kwiat....
Stuller....

etc, etc....

Let see if they can help the GIA look better, not to mention clean up their act!!!!

I wish them loads of luck, they have a hard task ahead....

Hopefully, this will work out better than when Gerald Ford replaced Richard Nixon after his resignation.

I believe in the GIA. I hope that they put greater emphasis back on education for up and coming gemologists who will represent the future of our industry. Right now, our industry needs the smartest and the brightest. There are many tough issues facing our industry which require strong and unbiased leadership. GIA can lead the way if they choose to do so.

I think the GIA can lead our industry as they have in the past by exploring new frontiers and advances in gemology. The GIA symposium (August 27-29 in San Diego) brings together the brightest leaders of the gem and jewelry industry. The symposium explores technological and research developments. It focuses on education and learning, which is what the GIA means to me.
I''ve said this before on this forum...don''t forget the good work that the GIA has done over the past decades in the field of education.

I look forward to the new leadership at GIA. I think they are th leading lab with a few problems that will be fixed.
