How do you think the GIA can lead our industry?Date: 5/27/2006 9:31:13 AM

Hopefully, this will work out better than when Gerald Ford replaced Richard Nixon after his resignation.![]()
I believe in the GIA. I hope that they put greater emphasis back on education for up and coming gemologists who will represent the future of our industry. Right now, our industry needs the smartest and the brightest. There are many tough issues facing our industry which require strong and unbiased leadership. GIA can lead the way if they choose to do so.

I think the GIA can lead our industry as they have in the past by exploring new frontiers and advances in gemology. The GIA symposium (August 27-29 in San Diego) brings together the brightest leaders of the gem and jewelry industry. The symposium explores technological and research developments. It focuses on education and learning, which is what the GIA means to me.Date: 5/27/2006 9:37:38 AM
