I was going to tell Katie "no kissing photos, please" -- I don''t know why, I just thought I''d never be able to do it. But I dropped a lot of my little "I''m gonna do this/that" control freak stuff on the wedding day. Thank goodness!

Lovely pictures!! I love your color scheme - it's so perfect and bright and fresh. You're so handy to have put together those candles, they came out so wonderfully. I am so envious - I've always wanted colorful lanterns...but unfortunately they didn't fit in our venue. Sigh - the more I look at your colors too I regret I didn't go brighter with my colors... but I digress... Good thing I can live vicariously through yours! btw I LOVE the style of your dress pictures! Thanks for sharing your pictures!

Thanks SuLi and Mimzy! And clop, you are too sweet. My mom and sister really helped make my wedding magical. My dearest friends did my hair and makeup (I can only do opera night vamp or no makeup at all) and my DH who is more like the absent-minded professor hung those pesky lanterns from the fish wire.

My big thing was those lanterns. And I just wanted two things: Plum purple in the lanterns and in my bouquet if at all possible. Somehow the chartreuse/lime and fuchsia came about -- we never had colors picked!

Prattle on! I love reading details! Everything worked out so perfectly - the chartreuse/lime and fuchsia complement the centerpieces so well!

I also love that you have short hair....like mine! I''m getting married in March in Belize and I''ve been wanting to see some brides with shorter hair so I can get some ideas of how I want it to look.
(it seems that all the pics in magazines or dresses on line have models with long hair always...or an up do - which I can''t do because my hair is just a tad too short). Anyway..sorry for rambling..you looked fantastic.

Ok cool...so maybe I can pick your brain a little about your hairstyle....where did you get your headband/scarf? I love that. does it go all the way around or is it a typical headband that stops right behind the ears?
Also how did they get the flower on there? It's so pretty!!!
I may have to copy you if I can get your permission!!!!!

wishful -- It''s actually a normal, wide headband that goes to your ears. The florist sent us a cymbidium orchid (that I thought was too BIG when I saw it) and bobby pinned it into the headband and my hair. We sort of teased the back of my hair up behind the headband and they sprayed the heck out of my hair too. The key was putting the headband on first; I put it right where it was comfy and pulled out some strands of hair by my ears. THEN we put the flower in. Use any pics you want! I can look for a better "hair" one for you, too.

And HI sweetest Harleigh. I was hoping you''d see the pics. I love the one (without our heads!) on the stairs, too. The girls (the cats) are great and Melody is not AS reclusive post-surgery. We are glad we boarded them. How are you doing these days? Big hugs to you!

I just saw these! Simply gorgeous! I love rain too- what a cozy special wedding! All the details and colors from decor to clothing to cake are so beautiful, fresh, clean and joyful. The lanterns are to die for! You have great taste and great pictures to prove it. Congrats. Just fabulous! Glad to hear your adorable cats are doing well!

Hi Mrs.2Artists! Thank you so much. Forgive me if I already mentioned this, but we had Mittens'' pawprint on the fireplace mantle behind us as we said our vows. We didn''t bring any mementos of our ''new'' girls, but I did bring their photos on the trip with me. :>

And thank you! neatfreak, for saying we look happy. I worried that I might look...worried in pics. I tend to worry. :>
