The Hummingbird Inn. Belgian Waffles and homeade smoothies for breakfast, trains that go by randomly (one just before the ceremony! so exciting!) and yes, tons of hummingbirds.

Well phooey I can't get it in here. ...

Wow, I live in NC so I might have to look at this place - it looks so warm and inviting!

Matilda, everything looks so beautiful and heartfelt - your pictures are amazing, and you don''t look worried at all - you look blissfully happy! Exactly how you should!

AND I have to say... I LOVE YOUR CAKE!!!!

I love strawberries, can you tell... Did you come up with that or was it inspired from somewhere?

Matildawong, such a gorgeous bride you made and what a beautiful wedding! Everything looks like it came right from the pages of a magazine, your pics are all stunning. Congrats!

iluvthemstrawberries, I luv strawberries too.

My mom wanted (I agreed!) strawberries because my dad's Italian farmer dad Otto was 50 when my dad was born. He gave up his dairy-farm in his older age and sold off the equipment and then leased the land around his farm to....Strawberry growers!! So as kids, my sister and I would wait for the pickers to leave and steal some berries (we were allowed; the people our family leased to bought the entire ranch when my g-parents died. They've kept it almost as it was and they are a great family.

Oh sorry, I"m on my 3rd cup of coffee, long-winded! Anyway, I found the cake on a website and we all loved it. It was really ... charming. Uneven, berries falling off, but so sweet and charming. I loved it.

iluv, where do you live?? I lived in NC for 10 years.

monarch, thank you so much. Gosh you make me blush. Me and my mom laugh we''re having wedding withdrawals so your words make me smile so much.

Great pictures and lovely couple, congrats!!! Everything looks Fab!

I wonder if you might help me out on this one. I am trying to order the pro wedding pictures. Even though we have the discs, I want nice portrait stuff because man, I''ll never look this good again. So there''s these two HUGE pics of ME. I am sort of embarrassed to put them up but you''ll see what I mean. We want both which is fine but DH wants one in an 8x10. Is that just TOO MUCH molly? I can''t decide.

I''ll post them and maybe I should just get both in 5x7s. But 5/7 seems small. But it seems like we could hang an 8x10 in a lot of matte-ing and a nice frame and it could go with our other portraits. I don''t want like a shrine to ME though, you know?

Whoah, even that one looks huge. I may have answered my own question -- 8X10 may be too much. ??

I love those beautiful photos! Go ahead and get the big ones-I am all for going all out with the photos and don''t worry I don''t think that it will look like a "shrine" to yourself as you are worried. LOL. And I think your guy will LOVE it! I think that it will be so gorgeous!

Hee, thanks Mrs.2Artists. I like the way you think!

Oh my gosh! Your wedding and photos are amazing! Congrats!

Yeah I absolutely loved your cake! The fruit adds so much to it, I think.

I actually live in Raleigh, grew up in Durham my whole life. Went to college in Charlotte, and spend the summer at Topsail Beach, near Wilmington. Haha so I've been all over NC! I love it.

And I saw your thread on which of the two photos of you to pick from - I love the second one. The first one's pretty too, but I think the second one's much more fun, looks like you more. And I think it's a great idea for an 8x10 to hang up!

AND I love love love the one of you and FIL too - haha he looks like so much fun.

Where did you live while you were here?

hi luvthem (hope you don''t mind my abbreve.!) -- My parents were in Cornelius (on Lake Norman) -- I lived there and in Charlotte (worked at the Charlotte Observer) and up in Davidson, too. I went to UNC-Greensboro (loved it!) and generally miss NC a LOT. When I first moved there from CA in 1993, I had culture shock. Now that I''m back in SoCal (which I kind of hate) I miss NC even more!

My parents retired to VA (my dad was a USAirways pilot, which explains the move from CA to NC back when it was USAir) and we got married there.

I miss the Outer Banks and I especially love Sunset Beach, NC. I''m working on DH to move east.
