Mark T from a distance?

Curious to find out what your experience was working with Mark from a distance? SO is in Boston, and I think it might be a bit difficult to convince him to travel to NY to meet with Mark. I don''t know how he would feel ordering online either, so I am curious to find out what your experience was/is? I am interested in a 2 carat Cushion and would prefer to have a custom micropave halo piece...Does he send you pictures of what he thinks would be applicable to your needs? What is his turnaround time? Does he have these pieces in house? Any info would be greatly appreciated, about his diamonds and his custom work.

I am surprised no one has any experiences to share on this one?? I did a search and found a ton on Mark T, but interestingly enough many of the ladies were local to NY?? Any experiences working from afar??

I worked with him all the way from San Diego. I called him up, told him I was a pricescoper and discussed what I wanted (which was a cushion at first but turned into a round ). It turned out I could afford an 1.5 carat I si2 diamond. He went out personally and found my diamond. He offered pictures and he told me the SI2 was eye clean. I believed him because of his reputation here and bought the diamond unseen. I guess I don''t have trust issues. My diamond is stunning, scoring an 1.0 on the HCA. A perfectly eyeclean (I can''t locate locate the inclusion for the life of me) diamond.

Wow, thanks for the feedback...yes his work is stunning...Does anyone have a ballpark price on a setting from him? Halo Pave? Curious? I guess I could start another thread...I am just curious how much of a price difference he would be compared to working with, lets say, Leon Mege....

I think that I am definelty going to advocate that my BF use Mark when we are ready. Afterall NY is not that far from boston, if he really is uneasy. I am actually currently in San Diego myself!! We have a long distance relationship and that will be changing this summer.
