Thanks for all of your help! Here is my 1.67 G VS1 xxx Mark Patterson Bezel set diamond ring. Platinum with a florentine finish. Diamond purchased at B2C, and setting ordered through Wixon jewelers in MN.

It's called a Florentine finish, but it's not the traditional crosshatch florentine. More like brushed in one direction. With definite grooves. I like it because it sets off the diamond from the bezel, rather than blending in with a polished platinum. I had a hard time deciding which way to go, but the jeweler told me if I didn't care for the florentine finish they would redo it for me with a polished finish.
