AustenNut, diamondrnglover, B.E.G, Mochi, Vapid Lapid: Thank you so much! I was extremely pleased by the way the ring turned out, and totally impressed with the level of attention to detail from the folks at Brian Gavin. The only thing I noticed as being a weensy bit "off" was that the engraving did not end symmetrically on the shank, but that is being super nit-picky on my part. I decided it was a non-issue, but I'm sure some of you eagle-eyed Pricescopers are bound to notice, so I thought I'd mention it here.
Pink Tower, thank you! It's all white gold, but it's so shiny that I think what you are seeing is the reflection of the rose.
Gorgeous setting and STUNNING color! That's got to be one of my favorite shades of spinel, and you're right - it packs a huge punch on your finger! Milgrain, melee, and engraving - I'm a sucker for all three of those!
cellentani: Thank you! Did you see the teensy-weensy milgrain around the surprise diamonds in the gallery? So pretty!
cushioncutnut, JewelFreak, Rae and Arcadian: Thank you for the compliments!
crasru: Thank you, and I posted the stats on the spinel under the first photo, probably not the best place for it. I apologize!
StonieGrl: Thank you for the compliment and the well-wishes! I was very pleased overall with my experience at Brian Gavin. However, I had a very specific idea of what I wanted, based on two rings that were already in their design gallery, so my contacts with Jamie, Lesley, and Brian Gavin were brief and to-the-point. My one observation of their process was that I found it a little disconcerting at the beginning to be told to call in at a certain day and time, then, when I called in, get the impression from whomever answered the phone (Jamie or Lesley) that they weren't quite sure who I was or why I was calling. It happened twice, so I suspect that there is something in their system that may need tweaking a bit. But that was minor, and I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend BG. The workmanship really speaks for itself.
