I know there is one technically (using metallic, waxy, etc.) when it comes to rocks....but is there a standard for gemstones?

After you reposted the link, I reread, but then scrolled father down the page and found it in a follow up comments regarding "brilliance". I was finding some vendors describing "luster" as excellent or other subjective terms, and remembered that I had read something about this somewhere. Thanks.
