Thanks ILikeShiny! Very helpful. I fear the blue effect of the flor in the D will make it less white but it sounds like that’s not the case for you! Forgive me if I sound ignorant - I really am a visual person and I haven’t seen this combo in person.
P.s I love that you take the extra time to appreciate it when you’re watching your hands at the salon!
It is drop dead gorgeous! I'd want all the specs. You need to see the dimensions. The thing you'd need to decide is if you want an incredibly perfect stone or a larger generic one in G-H color.
What is your ring size and I'll show you the size it will be on your finger?

Wow! Lol. Your stone! Omg. Yea that’s pretty much perfect!!! It looks really big. Is that the setting or do you have tiny hands?!
Thanks DS, very helpful. I know I tried on a 3ct (the 3 stone asscher in the picture earlier in this thread) and thought the size was perfect. That was a G VS and about 7.9mm
Short fingers but wide knuckles; I wear a 6.5 ring but the base of my finger is closer to a 5.25. If your finger is a uniform 7.5 I’d be happy to take a photo with it by my knuckle so you can see better what it’ll look like (my stone is 8mm).Wow! Lol. Your stone! Omg. I bought my asscher from Yoram a few weeks before the D showed up in his boutique.
I would buy the D without hesitation having seen the outstanding performance of his precision cuts in person.
Seriously, Mildred is beyond. I can’t even imagine in person how she sparkles. Yes I’m really drawn to his work but we’d have to expand the budget a bit. I appreciate the endorsement for the asscher we’re considering. Had you seen many other sites in person before deciding on this? Also can you remind me the specs?
I looked at asschers for about three years. I’ve had several really nice ones from James Allen, so I’ve experienced researching, making a choice, then finding out in person if my assessment of asschers was good. Over time I developed a feel for what kind of cut of asscher was most pleasing to my eye.
I really wanted an asscher of a certain shape and size (7mm) with a culet & fluorescence.
Yoram, with his outstanding reputation for beautifully cut stones, happen to have exactly what I wanted, so I trusted that it would be the ultimate cut for me.
Not to be an enabler or anything, but I actually ended up doubling my budget to get Mildred;
I finally realized that I was not going to get what I really wanted unless I was willing to go for the kind of budget it would take. I had been buying « lesser » stones, hoping to be happy, then always wanted to upgrade. So now, the long search is done and I am satisfied my choice. But that’s just me. Purchasing and upgrading over time can be fun too!
Thanks DS for the JA suggestion. What is ID Jewelry?
Ok yes I see the 3.02 on JA. Yes I love the higher crown. This is something I’ve always been drawn to. Is this a characteristic of antique cuts? Does it make the stone sparkle differently? I like it for the chunky profile but I realize you lose on the spread.
