Lots of the colored stones folks have bought rings from Lord of the Gem. The quality looks decent. I
wouldnt go there for an e-ring but fine for a RHR or colored stone. Do a search in the color stones forum
for LOGR and you can see some of the rings they have had made.
I've got to say that a couple of years ago, I was enamoured with LOGR. I've got about 20 or so settings now, and the quality is always what I expect for what I paid. I'm much happier with my baguette settings than some of the pave, but I will say that the Legacy replica always comes with surprisingly even miligrain and decent diamonds, even without upgrading. Some people have been pleased with their settings. Others have not.
Just remember, that you always get what you pay for. So if this is a special occasion or an engagement ring, I would probably not suggest an LOGR, even a fully upgraded one. For a RHR or something not intended to be worn day in and day out for the rest of your life, go nuts!
I have four LoGR rings: 2 baguettes, and two with pave bands. I am very happy with them. While they are not works of art, they are good quality and comparable to what I would find in good jewelry stores (if not better with the upgraded diamonds) and considerably less expensive. The customizations (changed gem size and shape) were done correctly.
