Looking for some input on a couple stones

I have been perusing the local jewelers, and have come across a couple stones that I am now considering. Please let me know what you think.

SI2 (twinning wisp, not visible to naked eye. Not having a visible large inclusion is important, but I have read about the twinning wisp possibly making the stone more fragile)
Cut- Very Good

Girdle- thin-medium

Let me begin by saying that I am not really interested in purchasing a diamond online, and understand that retail is likely more expensive. Each of these stones is being held at a different jeweler, so I can''t view them side by side. They both look great to me, but I was just hoping for some more input. I''ll most likely upgrade these in a couple years to something over a carat, but want the best for my budget right now. I seem to notice a bigger difference in color from H to E (all else being somewhat similar) than two stones rated Very Good to Excellent cut (all else being somewhat similar).

Should I give much thought to the "twinning wisp" clarity characteristic? Is there really that much difference between VG and Excellent Cut/Symmetry/Polish? Do you have a recommendation?
 
do you have crown and pavilion angles, or the GIA report numbers for these stones?

Not liking #2 - facing up a bit small for weight, probably at least in part because of the girdle
 
What is the crown and pavilion angles. Also the lower half size for these stones? Or just list down the report number and we can check it out.

Weird, how can a thick girdle get an Ex in GIA cut grade?

Ooops. Switched the info around. The report number and info is for the second.
 
Nevermind. I had it right the first time, but I have the prices mixed up in the original post. Yikes!!! My mind is mush after all this diamond shopping.
 
That report number is for the 0.92 E SI2.


Numbers could work, I would want an IS (you can buy your own). If LGF had been 80 I would likely have replied looks promising.. trouble is, with GIA, they round so you may actually getting a 41p, >35c, 73lgf. I also don't like the good polish - why, when there is an abundance of RBs in this size/colour/clarity range with vg/ex?

Will moving up from a good to very good or excellent polish make a significant difference? I''m trying to keep size at .9 carats or more on a budget of less than $5000. I originally wanted around 1 carat, but my minimum specs in other areas seem to keep me in the .90-.99 carat range. It seems that stones in that size with my requirements tend to be in short supply at the local jewelers. Thanks for your help so far!
 
Should not be noticeable difference.

would prefer an slightly smaller table.

This is a different jeweler than the two in the first post. I have only been to two so far, and this would be my third and final stop if even necessary. All things being equal on a diamond, I would prefer to work with the jewelers that have option 1 available on the first post. They had an inviting storefront with knowledgeable and friendly staff. They also happen to work with the manufacturer of the engagement band I purchased a few months ago, which I consider a plus. For the price, I thought option 1 was a really beautiful stone, even in comparison to others with GIA excellent ratings.

Should I be concerned about the twinning wisp? I read a post elsewhere in the forums about proper mounting. Thanks for all your help.
 
have you looked at the diamonds in different types of lighting? that can really affect how they look to so try to compare that as well. good luck!

This one is quite risky with the proportions and its too deep, try to keep depths between 60 - 62.4% maximum, also there is a fair chance it will show light leakage. I wouldn''t chance this one personally, lots of diamonds out there, you can do better if you want a well cut diamond.
