Looking for Oval

OK, I found the girl. Now need the ring. My budget max is $4,000 (stone and setting) and I'm looking for an oval cut, near colorless, eye clean. Shopping for a vintage setting/ring or split shank (something that balances the ring from band to stone).

Is there a particular style of setting you think that she would like and also would you be searching for an OEC (Old European Cut) diamond as well for this vintage setting?

One more question what is the amount you would like to spend on the diamond versus the mounting?

I like these setting from JA. They will add millgraining for free to make it have a vintage feel. Also they offer yellow or rose gold.

Not a split shank but I think it flatters an oval
