looking for inexpensive .10-.15 stones?

Hi PSers!

I need your research help. Thinking of a mini project that would need 1-3 diamonds. Thinking somewhere in the .10 .12 or .15 range in terms of size. Where should I look first. Thoughts on ebay? I don't really want to pay a retail price but want these to look white and sparkle. Can anyone help me. I tried looking at james allen and whiteflash but the diamond searches don't go that low in size. I don't mind a pre-loved diamond either as long as it is in good condition. Also, if you have seen a great colored gem for a great price in one of those sizes I would consider that too!

Do I need to pay attention to clarity and cut and color in that size? What do you think is a reasonable price range for diamond .10-.15 in size

It is customary when doing a project that involves small stones to have the jeweler making the item source the stones. They can get them wholesale and you can't, generally, so that is your best bet.
 
Thanks DS! Perfect person to speak with. A local jeweler quoted me $200 less than BGD quoted using a single .10 diamond. The jeweler added that if I used a diamond I already have the price would be half of that and to take a look at my own jewelry to see what I have. Well I don't have diamonds laying around like that BUT I have seen people purchase diamonds off of pre-loved and ebay. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on where to look. If I can find something at a reduced price I could be saving myself even more money for this trinket I really shouldn't be getting in the first place. lol :)

I've emailed this person in the past with no response. It might have been a month or so ago so I just tried again. Btw. Your ring is gorgeous!
 
You might try some of the gold buyers out there to see if they have any laying around.
 
I needed several diamonds like that when I was thinking of my aqua ring that BGD made for me, I got mine from a reputable seller on Ebay. Emerald-imports. I have purchased many from him and always been happy with them.
You see the ring in my avatar, I got all the diamonds that are on the vines down the side from him.

Your ring is beautiful! I took a look at that eBay seller. He has lots available. I noticed they are mostly SI stones. Are the stones you purchased SI and are they eye clean? Curious what pointer size are those going down your band? I will email the seller directly but wanted to hear more first:)
