Hi PSers!!!

I know nothing about aquamarine so I turn to you. I'm looking to get a piece for my wedding day to use as my something blue. Mostly bc my fiance is a March baby and I adore that pretty blue! My earrings are covered. 1.2 studs currently being reset in RG bezels by my jeweler :appl: . Necklace I'm hoping will be covered as well :naughty: .

I thought maybe a stick pin or a right hand ring. My set is all rose gold but I'm open...

I like the looks of this... simple but it looks like they took the picture on a blue paper, maybe to enhance the color? The price seems cheap so you get what you pay for here?

I LOVE THIS but the color looks almost tooo faint

Ring size is 5.25-6 but willing to resize something if possible

Below are a few rings I thought looked kind of interesting. Again, I don't know what I'm looking for other than a nice color blue. I'd like to stay under $400.

I'd love to see some recommendations or feedback!

Aquamarine is my birthstone too, and I've been looking for something nice. I have an old ring with a small, included aqua that I am planning to have reset with something that has more color. Aquas often are rather pale and windowed.

The first stick pin looks to me (and I'm not an expert) like it is one giant window. You can see the pin right through it.

The second pin only has one picture, so it's hard to judge.

Have you tried Loupe Troop? Here's one:

The others can chime in as to whether it's a good deal. It just looked interesting to me.

The LT ring is way over her budget. I think for your money, the last ring is the best buy. It's a nice classic setting, always in style, looks well made -- and 18K. The aquamarine isn't terribly saturated but is nice enough -- and if you wanted to put another stone in there someday, you could do that.

The stickpins look to me like a waste of money -- would you ever use one again? They aren't great quality.

In a quick look around, I found this -- tourmaline, not an aquamarine, but it is aquamarine color, which might fit the bill. It's by HoW so good quality. I still like the last ring you posted better, though.

I just did a quick check of ebay and did not see an example...

It might be pricey if you can find it, but also check out Mt. Antero Aquamarine as a possibility. I just cut a piece that was approaching sapphire blue (no, I do not have any of that material left, so don't ask and the mods would kill me anyway.) It can be close to the holy grail of Santa Maria in blue, but... they are still mining it.

And just as a side note for the aqua curious, I had a piece in the same batch that was dichroic (2 colors). It had a lavender angle. Finished, it had lavender flashes. No one in the communities I hang out with had ever heard of it. The source was 100% reliable and a claim holder on Mt. Antero. The origin was not suspect. Really cool. NEVER could get a good pic of it.

Thank you for the replies! I will keep looking.

I would really like to stay with aquamarine.

I like the blue colour of this aquamarine and it is size 6 (I think this is your size) and it is ready to go. Understandably, it is slightly over your budget and not a design that everyone would like.

Hi Chrono!
I have been eyeing this, and I've pinned it  . It's a serious contender. I loooooove the design. It's beautiful!! My only reservation is the price considering the amount we are still trying to save for the wedding. Good find!

Thanks Molly!! I checked it out and I found some designs I do like. A serious consideration.

The aqua is listed as 5 x 3 mm so based on that, the bead "halo" is likely to be 1.5 mm thick.

This makes me think of that Prospector's show.

The pendant is so small in the pictures; I cannot make out the cut at all.

I love that aqua ring by Sally too, Chrono! The pendant does look small and it is hard to see the details of the stone. This is a fun thing to buy though, congratulations!
