Looking for an engagement ring round 2...

Hello,
I was previously looking for an emerald ring, but now it has changed to a round diamond. I looked at some of the prior posts and tried to find something decent, but wanted to get some additional thoughts before purchasing.

Budget: 4.5-4.9k USD for entire ring (single diamond only)
Cut: Ideal
Carot: .8 to 1 (I think realistically the budget can only go up to ~.9)
Color: G and above
Clarity: VS2 and above

I tried to filter with the guideline of the following:
Table 54-58
Depth: 60-62
Crown Angle: 34-35
Pavilion Angle: 40.6 - 40.9

Afterwards running it through the HCA. I'm left with the following... Wanted to see if these are good in the community's opinion.

As for the ring itself, I was looking for solitaire platinum the reason for this was that she was looking to get a step ring as a wedding band (~.4-.5 carot of multiple diamonds). She can then wear the choose the single diamond ring whenever. It would be something like this...


So to make it all fit.. the shoulder would need to be high enough so the step ring won't clank against the main ring.

In any case, fitting the band and the ring setting is best done in person, with the diamond band on ...

The three diamonds are nice. Including the I/SI - with its little feather on its table winking in the light ! I am usually a fan of D-F/SI - if one happens to be around.

Just a thought ...

I would talk to JA about the inclusion on this one and see what they have to say. If they think it is eye-clean then this stone would be a good value for its size.
You can request idealscopes on 3 stones from JA (if the stones are in the NY area). If eye-clean, might ask for idealscope on this one. Its not going to be H&A
but you didnt say you needed/wanted H&A.

I found this diamond on Whiteflash. It's close to your criterion, but lower in color (it's an I). The image appears more eye clean, and it's VS1. I'm not sure how color sensitive either of you are, but it's worth looking at....

Nice numbers, just ask BN about the strong blue Flour to make sure its not an issue (probably isnt, but check). While they are checking the flour they
might as well double check that it is eye-clean (ask them where the inclusion is...is it black, white/clear...)

From BN...you might consider this setting. This setting would be consider more custom then the one you picked above and would be worth the extra
$120 to me (but thats your call). I would ask for petite prongs (not sure if they can do smaller prongs at BN) no matter which setting you get.

The BN stone is cut a little deep at 62.6, if you were trying to stay within the suggested parameters.

Color wise, G is fine and often H is virtually indistinguishable in well-cut stones.

The BN stone says unavailable, so we can't see anything to compare. So, absent a comparison, I'd vote for the B2C .9 $4308 of these two with its AGS000.
