I absolutely fell in love with this ring... and then it was sold. I believe the setting is from the 1930s. It has a round center stone with two standing up baguettes and one laying down baguette on either side. I haven't been able to find anything else like it, so I was considering having a custom ring made and have been running into issues with the jeweler's interpretation of the design. Does anyone know of an estate or antique piece that is similar for $7-10k for the whole ring or <$2500 for the setting?

PS - I'm trying to upload pictures, but it doesn't seem to be showing up, so I'll keep trying.

If you could post inspiration pics and/or even a rough drawing that would be more helpful. Your description is a bit vague.

So sorry! I'm trying to upload pictures, but it doesn't seem to be showing up, so I'll keep trying. I'm sure it's user error... I went to 'upload attachment', selected the file, then clicked 'add the file', and the filename disappeared -- what am I missing? :)

Thanks so much in advance!!

I found a setting like it! I honestly can't believe it, as I have been looking all over...

Unfortunately, this ring is obviously out of my price range. :( Any help on finding one for less would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much in advance!

Thanks, Cluless! This is pretty close to the original ring - and at a great price! It's really a great option if I can't find something just a tiny bit closer... Do you know anything about the jeweler, and/or the style of the setting?

So sorry that I can't seem to attach pictures, but there were a couple of differences between this setting and the original ring that I'm searching for -- It had a smaller laying-down baguettes at each end of the setting, the prongs on the main diamond were thinner and more claw-like, the 'prongs' that held the baguettes in place were thinner and almost disappeared to the eye, and the band was much thinner, similar to other antique rings that have been hand-worked...

Thanks again!

I was finally able to add pics!! So sorry for the delay.

Thanks so much everyone for your help!!

That's an expensive setting.

I'd ask ERD and WF for quotes. CAD is going to be your best best. BGD will likely be out of budget, but you can ask them as well.

To save money you are going to want to go with white gold over platinum.

I actually love that setting and all the other links too! beautiful

Wow, that is a really gorgeous setting. Never thought I would like step cuts as side stones for an OEC.

Thanks so much!

The jeweler that I have been working with is WF. They've been amazing to deal with, but the CAD designs look really modern to me, especially when compared with the original. : ( Oh well - if I can't find a genuine estate setting, then I think that's the next best option.

Thanks again!
