I'm back looking for a bit more assistance. I've been saving and am ready to purchase a stone. After talking with my GF some more and showing her Max and Sams _incredible_ ring (https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/victor-canera-cushion-halo-engagement-ring.224202/) by VC she is into the round brilliant with a cushion halo. I'm sold on Victor's settings, the problem now is finding a H&A for him to set. Using the above ring as a guide I figure I should be able to get a 1.5ct I/SI1 with plenty left over to get here whatever setting she wants OR go a bit bigger for the stone.
Victor doesn't have any stones of that particular variety right now; there are a few H color but the price is markedly higher and it makes me wonder if the complaint about the price of his stones isn't in effect? Using the PS stone search feature whiteflash has similar stones for a few $k less. This begs the question, are there any competitor RBs that VC won't set (similar to GoGs antique cushions)?
Is the discount with going to VC for the whole package worth the premium? I'm sure you all will have some solid advice as always!

). The price difference for stones could potentially mean the difference between a single or double halo, which isn't insignificant.
