Looking for a faint to light yellow Marquise

I think I am looking for a faint to light yellow marquise diamond and while I have found some, it has been more of a struggle than I expected.

This is roughly what I am looking for:

Cut: Marquise with as nice of cut/brilliance as possible and little to no “bowtie”. I have looked at some table and depth percentages and have some ideas of roughly where I want them to be, but I am more about looks than numbers and want a nice looking stone that has a lot of sparkle and eye appeal
Clarity: Eye clean at a minimum, VS2 or better, preferably, would love to be VS1 or even VVS2 or better
Color: I am actually looking for a lightly tinted stone but not necessarily one of the “fancy yellow” colors. I would be interested in considering anything from probably M-Z in the color range, or into the fancy colors as long as it is on the lighter end.
Caret: I’d like to be in the 1.5 range, generally, but I would consider something down to the 1.20 size or maybe even smaller and up closer to 2 if all the other factors were right.

I would prefer very good polish and symmetry or better, although this has been hard to come by, a fairly consistent girdle, no culet, little to no fluorescence or at least nothing that makes the stone look cloudy at all, and a length to width ratio of between approximately 1.80-2.10. It needs proper proportions, not too long and skinny or short and squatty.

This stone is being brought in to be considered, along with a few others by a local jeweler. I hate that it does not have a GIA cert, honestly: http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-dia...arquise-cut/1.63-carat-vs1-clarity-sku-225665

This is the setting being considered, so not really "traditional". Hoping even a light yellow stone isn't "too much":

Sorry, had trouble getting photos to upload into the post so this is the best I could do. Any thoughts, suggestions, or help on finding the right stone? Anything I should insist on? What about in this setting? Opinions are appreciated. Thanks

Thank you both for the suggestions and links.

I'm not sure why you'd want something in this range though. Why not get a proper fancy yellow?
As for this question, it is her preference. She has an idea of it being "too yellow" in the setting pictured above and perhaps more clearly here:

Any thoughts or foreseen issues/concerns with the fancy light yellow mentioned above?

Keep in mind that the actual color you get tends to be less vivid in person than what's shown on websites. Also, the point of a colored stone is the color, so there's a reason the price rises exponentially as the color gets more vivid. Indeed, cut quality and clarity are often sacrificed to draw out as much color as possible, which is not frowned-upon on the fancy world.

Perhaps your lady is of the resolute variety, but I think you can warm her up to color. You should have seen Mrs. Stevens when I gave her a fancy intense yellow for the first time. Not too long before that time, she said how she thought yellow was an ugly color for a diamond, and suddenly she was saying, "wow, I own a yellow diamond!"

Ultimately it's a question of budget, but I've not found particularly good deals in the M-Z range. David at DBL and I just had a discussion of this phenomenon in some other thread this weekend. Basically what he was saying is that as M-Z have become more popular, the formerly steep price differential has flattened. A lot of people like diamonds in that range, but in terms of value for money, I've not been impressed.

did you buy that JA one i see its sold? also, are they doing the setting for you??

Thanks, George. I have noticed that the actual color in person tends to be less vivid than on the websites. I understand about color being most important, which is one reason why I wouldn't mind staying out of the "fancy" colors since cut and clarity are still important she appears to like such faint yellow. She seems fairly resolute now. I have had trouble finding really pretty stones with all of the characteristics we are looking for.

As to your question, Niel, I did buy the one from James Allen linked above and have it in hand. It is a pretty diamond. Almost too long and skinny, but not quite. I still hate that it is IGI cert and not a GIA cert. I know there is almost certainly a reason and that I likely paid too much for it, i.e. it would have been cheaper with a GIA cert. The most important thing is that she is happy with it though. Our local jeweler has brought several stones in and we will compare them this afternoon or tomorrow I think. Oh, and JA will not be setting it. We will be going with a local jeweler and the setting pictured above.
