Most delicate. Lowest tcw. What is tpf? I think I want the same thing that you do.Date: 5/7/2008 4:01:05 PM

not sure what you mean by lightest? take a run over to tpf (search function is currently disabled) and go to the jewelry section page 6 some one posted for tennis necklace help. a few pics are posted. one gal actually makes them and she made some size recommends. it is a starting point. when i was considering one i was thinking 4 or 5 carat in platinum from wf. i would want it small enough to wear whenever. there in nyc there have to be examples to try on. out here in the netherlands we can even go to macy''s and find something to get size ideas.
I have a 3-prong bracelet, so I''d like a 3-prong necklace if I do with a Riviera.Date: 5/7/2008 5:19:35 PM

HI:

Don''t know the gram weight, but I think this could be a three prong style; looks ''all diamond'' to me......I tried on one locally that was 5ctw and it was the ''perfect'' size (well, for me). Elegant and not too ''uptown''.
cheers--Sharon

I like the second one from Langs if you are going to wear a necklacebut I am not sure how it would look paired with the earrings which btw are scrummy

How large was hers?Date: 5/7/2008 5:40:35 PM

To me... there is nothing more elegant then a tennis necklace. Someone I knew used to wear hers everyday with anything and everything, even a white tee with jeans and it looked fabulous. This one on Leon''s site is larger and for something more formal...

Ditto....this is sooo much more versatile than the second Lang necklace. Of course, it would need to be much smaller than this, but I think smaller would look better with the earrings anyway.Date: 5/7/2008 6:36:48 PM

Harriet-
I''d go with the tennis necklace as well...they are so classic and would definitely go with both dresses, and your fabulous earrings (and wouldn''t compete with them). We''ll be sure to try some tomorrow.

You are confusing me.Date: 5/7/2008 6:26:36 PM

I don''t know what the tcw is, but it is not tiny, nor on the small size, but it also was not too big.....it was a perfect size for daytime and or evening. It definitely was not meant to be an evening peice, it was meant to be for everyday wear. This may sound confusing- it was large enough that you could definitely wear it as an evening peice as well. I would say it was on the low end of large HAHAHAHA!!! It is a noticeable peice, if you walked by her or saw her sitting down you would definitely notice it. She also wears it short, so it drops just at or just below her collar bone
Ideally, it would be ACAs set by Leon. If WF won''t sell the melee, who can I turn to? Mark? Jon?Date: 5/7/2008 7:11:47 PM

I''d love Leon to make it, but getting ACA''s would make it tempting to have WF do it.
Harriet, I would ask the experts. I have read that in stones this small, it doesn't matter. I wish I had some regular EX cut melee to compare with the ones in my WF scattered band and the cluster pendant. All I know is, they reallly sparkle for such little guys.Date: 5/8/2008 9:29:42 AM

Thanks, girls. I'm meeting Mark this week (to discuss a year-end project) and will ask him.
In a necklace as delicate as the one I'm hoping to have made, is there any point in using H&A stones? How low would you go in colour? As for clarity, eye-clean is good enough for me.
Thanks, Sharon.Date: 5/8/2008 9:31:37 AM

On clarity, you may not have a huge choice, I think a lot tend to be higher clairity, but I''ve also heard that the price difference between high and low is rather moot. So again, just ask the experts.

Crown 1,
