So I went into Jared''s last night to see a friend who works there. She wasn''t there

but the other guys who know me said to come look at the vault values that they just got in. I saw this piece, thought it looked neat, and decided to check the price tag.....$34.99 for solid 14k gold

. Of course I snatched it up, along with the lifetime warrenty for $19.99 extra (this covers ALL sizings, stone settings and retippings - which they do in house). I want to put a colored stone in it and the opening fits about a 6mm stone. Looks beautiful with radiant, oval and rounds in it! Anybody know of a good colored stone? I''m open to all ideas

If anybody knows of a garnet, under $75, that would fit in here (must be red) I could give it to my MIL for xmas as a "mom''s ring". Both her sons were born in January.

What's an extinction?

Contact Rick to make sure though, Extinctions, are like black patches, but sometimes photographing gems are hard and gives the "illusion" of extinction and he maybe able to provide more photos and you can ask him as well .

ETA: there is also an inclusion I think on the upper left corner, so the price might be indicative for both perhaps
