Old the man could not be prevailed upon--so NO big confession; only that I wish he could have been! ;)) I think a very good "value" for the winner, no?

cheers--Sharon

Hey! There's always the online only auction-so get to gettin'! :Up_to_something:

who would have thought that it would be the pearls rather then the diamonds that would take the highest bids!the Rene Lalique pin made of glass with a pearl drop made $566,000 ! His work always goes for top dollar, but that's wild!

been watching the auctions through out the day and cant believe that a christian Dior dress and clutch went for in the neighborhood of$360,000 dollars!

Ah, but there is only ONE La Peregrina...

Judging by Graff's window's on an average Tuesday, 30ct+ white diamonds aren't exactly unique.

I guess $11Mil isn't what it used to me. :saint:

Sky's the limit with La Peregrina-my favorite piece of all.

The charm bracelets trip me a bit. I adore them, and I can understand why any collector would want them, but to imagine wearing something so personal to someone else is beyond me-not that the other pieces weren't personal, but the charms are different. But, who knows what the buyers intend for them! I do hope some of these pieces end up in museums for everyone to see.

Over $1 million for the two wedding bands. :o

I know..and I read that the bidding was fierce for those two. The antique natural pearl and diamond necklace is stunning-and sold for $1.48 million.

I wanted "that" charm bracelet, but couldn't find it after seeing last week...-and saw some of the prices for things--I would have paid for sure....(e.g. ruby ring....). Oh well.

cheers--Sharon
