Hi Pricescope!

I am VERY new diamonds, this website has proven itself to be a Man''s Best Friend through all of this! My buddy (leadfoot) pointed me in this direction after stubling on this himself. Can''t say enough good things about the reading material in the FAQ''s, and throughout the educational snacks along the way!

Here is my background. My grandmother has left me with a stone that is to be used for an engagement ring when the time comes. It is GIA (the cert is dated for Sept. 26th, 2003, should that be a problem?) 1.77ct round brillant, H - Si1. The time has come. My girlfriend of nearly 4 years knows about the diamond, and has seen it on many occasions. Something about women and shiny things? She wants a plain simple platinum solitaire setting. It took me nearly an entire evening, but I looked at everyone''s rings in the Show Me The Ring forum - you ladies have "VerrNice" rings!! (Did anyone see Borat) I really have taken a liking to 2. Both are from whiteflash, and I am wondering about this one: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/pictures-of-my-wf-upgrade.52950/

I read that it: "is half-round band with "donut" and Stuller head like Mara''s. I was shooting for the "Tiffany" look but with comfort and low profile in mind" I''m wondering how wide SparkleDreamer''s band is?

How do I order this?? Stuller head? Do I just ask for Stuller head, or is it called something special? That ring is very classic, and with SparkleDreamer''s wedding band, looks very elegant! Exactly what I am aiming for!

Thanks for your help in advance!
Mara and SparkleDreamer, if you chime in, both your rings are beautiful!! Thank you for any help you can lend me!

thanks bryson! i love my new head as well!!

i actually had my head modeled after jcrow''s. she had whiteflash make her a custom ring much like sparkledreamers with the stuller modified head though i don''t think hers has a donut. i would take a peek at her thread too. also ladyluvsluxury has a head like mine and jcrow''s but hers is turned a bit so that the view is different as to how you see the prongs.

how i described my head wants to WF was ''scoopy, swoopy, low-set diamond into the setting, as spready of a look from the side, with thinned out prongs and super tiny prong tips''. for the most part. i also referenced jcrow and LLL''s heads. i think they generally know the ''feel'' that people who ask for something like that wants. but i figure specifics don''t hurt. hehee.

anyway hope this helps! good luck!

*going to check out the other rings...*

Hi F7,
I''m waiting for my ring from WF. My ring will looks like SpackleDreamer''s without donut. WF call this ring''s name is Tiffany round ring with Solstice Head.

Dh97, when are you going to receive your ring? I have been checking SMTR everyday to see if you had posted.

F7, Thank you for liking my rings

. Dh97 is right, it''s the Tiffany half round with "S" head. I think (don''t hold this against me) the band at top is 2.5mm and taper down to narrower and thinner. My has the "donut" because I am one the rare prefers the little tiny space between the e-ring and the w-ring. If your girl prefers two rings fit flush, go with Dh97''s version. Leon @ WF is a pro, he will do excatly what you ask for. My band is from Signed Pieces 1.18 tcw 31 princess cut channel set eternity band, 4,75 in size, in case you''d like to know. The combo is very comfortable and low maintainance to wear on a daily basis.
Wow, 1.77 H with family history, your lady is very lucky! Keep us posted as you work on the setting and remember to share your ring pictures when it''s done.
