Little fuzzies getting caught under my prongs...normal?

So I'm totally digging my new e-ring BUT little wispy threads from clothes/mitts (more likely the latter) keep getting caught under the prongs (or maybe it's the same prong, over and over). Is this 'normal' and to be expected? Seems like a silly question but it's mildly annoying to pick out these little fuzzies every once and awhile. Also, it makes me wonder if the prongs are properly set against the diamond -- I will take a closer look with my loupe tonight. FWIW, these are not claw prongs, just normal ones.
