Okay, so I don't remember where I saw this, but naming a boy Addison? Good or bad idea?
You haven't mentioned Addison on this thread before? I could swear you did. Don't remember if I had an opinion then or not...but tonight I'm leaning towards "no" for a boy's or a girl's name. Simply because it seems a little trendy. What about naming a boy "Ashley"? Let me digress...what do you like about the name "Addison" for a boy? (It reminds me of the ever popular "Madison" for girls I guess, and it seems everywhere I go there are streets named Addison.)

Btw, I'm still casting a vote for the name Grayson for either a boy or a girl....

ETA: I like Anderson better than Addison, fwiw.

I went back and read a little bit and it was the wonderful Caroline that suggested Addison, but then I saw that Mitch McConnell''s first name is Addison and I thought that was kind of different. I''ve always thought that Addison was more appropriate for a girl, but I think it could work for a boy. However, I have to admit that I prefer Anderson or Ashley.

It''s funny that you mention Grayson, I asked Nate what he thought about Grayson Maxwell (I also like Grayson Ashley, but Nate won''t go for that.) and he really likes it. It''s one of the first names that we both like so it''s definitely a keeper. So, I have to thank you, Monarch, and also Ms. Caroline for helping me with that one . . . well helping me period. I think we all have the same taste when it comes to names.

Also, Savannah and Spencer are still at the top of my list for girl names.

You are going to be the best parent ever if you put as much thought into every other child rearing issue as you do naming them, PQ!

I really love all your picks except for Addison.

So....what about combining the best of both worlds for each of the babies? (It''s quite possible this has already been suggested and I''m just late as usual). But I was just thinking.... what about: Spencer Grayson, Savannah Spencer, Savannah Ashley, Savannah Maxwell (ooo I like that)....for girls names.

Or for boys: (Nate''s going to have to get used to Grayson or you''re going to have to get used to Nathaniel, lol) Ashley Spencer, Ashley Grayson, Maxwell Grayson, Maxwell Ashley (oooo, looooove that), Anderson Maxwell, Nathaniel Grayson.

This is tough without knowing your last name, but it''s still fun. Thanks PQ for letting me try out baby names for ya! I just attended my SIL''s shower this past weekend and their baby is definitely going to be named Heather Hailey....she''ll be H#3 since both my SIL and I are named Heather, lol! I love it! My paternal grandmother is just beside herself with grief about the whole thing, but I went to visit her again before I left to come back to Chicago and smoothed things over about it. She''s a sweetheart but sometimes we just have to reassure her on certain things. Maybe it''s similar in your family?

Good luck with the babies'' names...I''m sure I didn''t help any but it was fun trying, thanks for indulging me. Caroline certainly has better taste than I, I''ll be the first to admit!
