I am asking because I truly want to know, how do you folks feel about designers such as LeVian, EFFY, Simon G., Scott K, and Neil Lane. I am not looking to start any arguments, I am just curious if anyone feels they got their moneys worth, or got an exceptional piece.

I don't have any of those brands but I looked at every kind of jewelry store while searching for a band, from high end to mall kays/zales. I visited at least 10 stores. Simon G looked overall a bit better to me than the other brands listed. I saw a few interesting things from some of these brands but you really really have to look. The vast majority of what was offered was not my idea of attractive and overpriced for the quality. I wouldn't avoid buying just because it was from one of these brands but the design and price and quality would have to line up. I think it's hard to find all that from a brand that produces high volume. It's easier for me at least to find a niche designer or an etsy artisan or dream up a design than spend the effort to find that needle in the haystack.

The following is all just my opinion and taste but to illustrate, say I was looking for a butterfly pendant just by photos alone...

EFFY (cute!) Vs small biz option

I prefer the effy design but not enough to justify the price difference

Simon g. (Cute!) Vs small biz option

I like these pretty equally so the decision would come down to price

Levian (not cute!) vs small biz option

I'd go with the mark broumand option but for the same price I'd probably rather do this:

None of them appeal to me except for Simon G. @junebug17 halo ring is one of my favorite rings on PS. Maybe she will share a glamour shot of it here?!?!

@soxfan, thank you SO much for that compliment, you made my week! For some reason I have a hard time getting a good pic of my ring, it really does look better IRL I'm very happy with this Simon G setting, the quality seems very nice to me and IMO is was pretty reasonably priced.

Junebug17, every time I see a photo of your beautiful Simon G. halo I am reminded what a gorgeous setting it is for your OEC. It looks truly perfect on your hand. Enjoy it in good health!
