Let's play a game... rainbow gems.

Wisely said, but when the hankering strikes and budget is at low end of the barrel, compromises need to be made - yeah, don’t have big bucks for you big lightening ridge Opal that’s calling my name
I had been thinking of upgrading my emerald... I feel like the color is perfection and the clarity is really good. But she's not very big (~2ct.). Now I wish I hadn't rushed it, and waited to buy until my budget was larger. I'd like something around 3ct., but after pricing them in the quality I would want, it's not going to happen right now. :eh:

i got one to lower the tone !
right after that lovely bracelet of @ciciban 's too (it is gorgeous) so happy to see a bangle

What a lovely rock! Is it larimar? So that particular mounting is for a top drilled (front to back) gem. You'd be better off wire wrapping that yummy specimen. :)

Thank you - it is 1.57ct, was sold to me as Zambian which I believe it is, the report doesn’t state origin.

Originally I had it mounted in a pendant, but then decided to turn it into a bangle, so I can see it. I did the same thing with a pair of emerald earrings which ended up in 2 different bracelets for maximum visibility

She very much looks Zambian to me! Just beautimous!!

Had a trip visiting the American Museum of Natural History in NYC. A jadeite jade statue.

I've always said that jadeite possesses the PERFECT shade of lavender. What an incredible work of art... thank you for sharing her. ❤️
