Your ring turned out gorgeous. I am in love with this cut. The camera really catches the brilliance. I am happy to see it fit nicely in your old setting.

I need more color in my life right now! This is giving me ideas about replacing my moissanite in my baguette setting with a colored stone.
Thank you @swaye2010 !
I think it would look gorgeous with a colored stone!

Thank you @Mreader! The band is a find from Amazon! It really looks more expensive than it is...I also have it in yellow gold! It’s one of my favorites!

Wow Amazon I never would have guessed!

I’m loving this sapphire from Stag & Finch. The color and cut are beautiful...I don’t know if any of you read when I posted photos of Libby, my previous 2.03 mrb, that was set in this setting. It swallowed her up...I named my diamond Lentil at the time because that’s what it looked like in this setting......It’s doing the same thing to this beautiful sapphire. It’s okay for when I want a low key look. I may even wear it on my right hand...I love the setting....but it would probably work better with a larger diamond. It won’t look like it got swallowed up...It actually looks bigger in the photos..

I personally love the proportions on this and think it holds its own. Looks fabu to me!

Concur that lab CSs are great!

I have four so far: an emerald cut Emerald by Jeff White; a cushion Paraiba YAG and a medium blue Asscher Sapphire by Gary of Finewater Gems; and another Paraiba YAG in emerald cut (can't remember the name of lapidary artist).

DK :))

I would love to see your stones! If they are already posted, could you share a link to the content? Many thanks :)

I posted these on another thread, but thought I'd share them here too. A 10x8 lab sapphire, and a pair of 5mm lab rubies, all from the fabulous Gary Braun at Finewater Gems. They will go into two pieces I have always dreamed of owning, but could never possibly spring the money for, if they were mined stones. This is addictive!

Thanks for sharing! Sorry for the late reply :) I love them all.

I want to replace the gemstones in some of my existing stud earrings with lab gems but can't decide on color/material. Which material do you think looks the most like the natural gemstone?

I'd appreciate any thoughts on this topic from the forum.

I'd say any lab gems will be fine for stud earrings due to their small sizes.

With larger size stones, some lab gems may be too clean/clear to look natural, especially Rubies, Emeralds and Paraiba Tourmalines.

I've got two pairs, one would be 6mm and the other 8mm stones. Sounds like sapphires, lab spinel or yag (not the Paraiba) color are the best options for the 8mm pair.

The blue asscher cut sapphire you have looks very natural - is it too perfect looking?

Put it this way - if such a stone exist in nature, it will definitely be beyond my reach!

That blue!! :kiss2::kiss2::kiss2: And I adore it stacked with those beautiful bands, what a stunning set!

Thank you @Dandi! The color is so much prettier than I can capture in a photo!

I am slightly obsessed with colored lab stones right now. I wasn’t as open to them either but they lightened up my setting so much. When they are high quality gems, they can look pretty amazing. I am hoping io get my later this week.

I bought one of these too! I think it's realistic looking. Here's a photo of it next to my Tiffany blue sapphire. It's still not quite as saturated as my ring but it's lovely and natural looking.

My Tiffany ring isn't cleaned but the sapphire also has a nice clarity when clean. So to me, it's natural looking though I would prefer it a tad darker/deeper.

My 3 lab stones from Gary of Finewater Gems had arrived, and they are gorgeous!

An Asscher Sapphire, a YAG cushion and an EC Ruby.

I had a pretty baguette cut diamond halo set with an antique asscher diamond..”Ashlee”…It was too blingy for me so I swapped it out and made another little stacker ring made with that diamond. I looked over a year to try to find a gemstone to fit in the setting…In desperation I started looking into doing it in a lab gemstone…David Klass found one that he cut to fit in the setting. It looks so good. The gem isn’t precision cut but it doesn’t matter to me. I absolute love it. I will wear it more now than when it had the diamond set in it. It looks like it has orange in it but it doesn’t have that tone…that I can see anyway.. DED2C67D-6F6E-431A-A48E-1A65B49FAE91.jpeg

I had no idea you kept that setting and put a new stone in it. I’m so glad! It looks great. And it looks pink!
