Kite Setting anyone?

Hello folks,

I recently purchased a BGD's H&A's Ideal Cushion cut diamond (.85ct) for my GF. I know she liked the kite setting while we were surfing rings on the web due to it's rarity (not everyone likes it). My question is for anyone out there with a kite setting... are they easy to live with or do they keep just catching on stuff?

Also, any pictures of kite oriented settings will be appreciated, specially those for radiant, cushion, asscher cuts, since I haven't been able to find any on the web!

I think it would be fine, one its a rounded shape, and two, people wear marquise and pears without too much a concern.

If she likes it do it up, if you're worried, get it bezeled

It's not really any worse than with the stone aligned with the finger. This one had me a little concerned since the chevron was modified into little claw prong tips, but I never heard that it was a problem, so it must have worked out O.K. A cushion would be even easier since the corners are more rounded.
