It's not in yet, so I don't have a lot to tell you guys but what's on the AGS report. Will post more once I have lab results. :)

It's a round brilliant 0.89 carat F VS2 H&A. 1.2 on the Holloway Cut Advisor (Ex, Ex, Ex, VG).

Proportions are:

Depth: 61.4%
Table: 55.7%
Crown Angle: 34.0%
Pavilion Angle: 40.9%
Culet: Pointed
Fluorescence: Negligible

6.20x3.81mm

What do ya think?

Now to finalize a setting choice... anyone have any nice pave suggestions in either platinum or white gold up to $2000?

Thanks, Lorelei! The stone is from GOG - WF just didn''t have what I wanted at this time.

The Pave Legato was the first setting I really liked, but have since thought it was too "simple" looking for my tastes. The Champagne one is pretty nice!

Angle7, thank you so much. I really like this one from James Allen: http://www.jamesallen.com/products/item_412-2055_build.asp?module=setting

It looks to be 3.2mm wide, and I'd like something in the 2.5-2.7 range... but that style is great!

I also think this one is beautiful, but I am not 100% sure about that shape - is that more or less comfortable to wear than a regular round ring? Is it sized differently?

Here are some styles from Blue Nile:

Do you any specific ideas of what you like?
Angel, that's so sweet of you to look all those up. But it's my understanding BN won't sell a setting without one of their diamonds also.

Opps..you know, I think I knew that but I just hear Pave and I start salivating and the brain stops working!

Brilyant - That one from M.C Fina is very pretty. It's more of a euro shank setting. Personally, they are comfy for me. You may want to go try some on and see how they feel for you...

Thanks, Angel - might go look at some tonight.

Congrats!

Frankly, I think it''s crumby that they do that.

Thank you, :)

I actually e-mailed GOG about those and they are all around $2500, sadly, a bit out of my range.

Is this setting: http://www.michaelcfina.com/ic/mcfina/sections/wedding_engagement_rings/wedding_engagement/a_jaffe/:product/sku/PL051900000006.html?block=1

The same as the setting in this thread: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/im-engaged-thank-you-pricescope.40587/

???

Anyone...?

Looks the same to me. The A. Jaffe signature and tiny surprise diamond is visible in one of the pictures in the thread, and the pave looks identical.

I looked up the links you kindly included...

I do believe they are the same settings. I am not totally sure the setting from the tread on pricescope is the same carat weight as the one you''re considering because it is hard to tell exactly when people are taking photographs....but I''d feel pretty comfortable in assuming they are the same exact style.

Regardless, the setting is beautiful and will compliment your diamond!
