Just ordered this asscher from gemrite!

This was a complete impulse buy! I was not expecting to purchase anything but it looks so purty! I really want a pink stone and hopefully this will be a beauty

Ha ha, I just found the other thread. Do you think it will be too dark? Makes me wonder too because the whole colored stone thing is new for me. I have purchased one other stone before and it ended up being a little on the dark side. Beautiful but dark...

You can get it and see. it''s a little hard to tell from pictures, but I haven''t bought anything from gemrite, so for all we know, the pics could be incredibly accurate to the color in real life, and it''ll just be gorgeous. Or maybe it''ll be a little darker, but not noticeably so. It looks really really beautiful in the pic so I hope it works out!

Thanks. I am pretty excited about the stone. The vendor has a 7 day return policy so that puts me at ease. I really want a bright and sparkly pink stone so hopefully this will satisfy my colored stone hunger for the moment.

Quick question - What is the difference between an Umbalite and a Tanga? Is it just location?

Yes, Tanga and Umbalite refer to the areas in Tanzania where the rhodolites garnets are found. It is trade name that has been added to distinguish them from other rhodolite garnets.

My baguette band came in last night

And I am loving it! I left my camera at a friend''s house (months ago!) and will take pictures as soon as I pick up the camera.
