JQ, you are one of my favorite posters here on PS. I knew I liked you even before I just read your bio.

What an enriching and fascinating life you have ... I am sure you''ll find yourself another sweetie
someday (just make sure she is not a piccolo player this time

)
Oh baby.

I got in tru-buuuuuulllll.

Cflutist, I do have a sweetie who is wonderful to me. She sometimes browses PS and saw her absence in this thread today... Zoikes, did this knight get JOUSTED!

Sorry, darling, I didn''t know if you''d want to be publicly posted, attached to this diamond/drummer geek!

Let the posting begin...

Pricescope, meet Angela.

UsPFChangs.JPG

Angela is a paralegal pursuing a JD... And CFlutist, you''ll be happy to know I have sworn off the piccolo players. She''s a down-to-earth, wholesome clarinet diva.

AngJohnGrad copy.JPG

This is my mom (formerly a singer of some acclaim, now really really loud when we do happy birthday at family gatherings). She''s on a Tennessee Walker named Boozle.

MomRidingTG.JPG

The resolution is not great here... I took it from the back of the quarter horse I was on - whle in motion. She was trained for barrel racing. The slightest nudge is like dropping the clutch in a sports car...With no seatbelts. Or windshield. Or CD player.

Sean (cowboy) is my brother-in-law. He's on Casey, another Tennessee Walker and mother to Boozle. Mom is on Boozle, Angela on Bingo. My dad is on another quarter horse gelding named Toby.

The parents are retired and spend a lot of time with the horses - and I have a bro and sis, both with young children. Holidays are tots -n- horses ole'

Pricescope, meet Angela.

JohnQuixote,

LOL! Busted! Oh, I know the feeling! Angela, you can start dropping hints about a substantial upgrade now!

Thanks for sharing your story (and soon more of Angela''s stories). It sounds like you have a really neat life. When I saw the picture of you on horses, I flashed on an image of you as a knight in shining armor
9.gif

John,

We've known you are a guy with an interesting outlook since you started posting on PS, but now we know why
9.gif
. Thanks for sharing your story with us. I love your writing, and think it is great that WF thinks it is important to hire someone in the role of writer and consumer advocate.

You will find THE One one of these days. Someone like you needs a comparable match -- not just the average Jane
2.gif
. In the meantime, keep pampering that beautiful car. Maybe Libster and I can take on you and David (DBL) one of these days. The M Roadsters vs those beautiful Porsches....... Someday, I'll have to tell you about my tour of the Porsche factory. waaaayyy cool.

And,btw... I had to walk to school uphill in the snow too! Funny how hard that is to do in Ca and TX.

Edited to add: we must have been posting at the same time.... great pics of the horses and I'm happy to meet Angela! Seems you mentioned her sometime earlier, but didn't want to pry

.

JQ, WOW

You got busted in more ways than one here. Yeh, I'd chose a down to earth clarinet diva any day over a picc player (all those high notes mess your head up ... I got headaches when I first started playing picc).

So, how you do like PF Changs? Wonderful food eh? Just love those lettuce wraps.

You know you could mount the 7ct aca on the front of your car? Just dont hit the wall.
Where are the diamonds for the horses bridle ??
That fine animal deserves some sparkles!

Thanks for sharing :}

Strm…Say, you should be designing our new line of Rodeo jewelry and accessories. We are in Texas after all. You can start with “bridle bezels” and “diamond studs.”

What an interesting Bio. And such a handsome fellow....... Those EYES!

Love the pics, love the kitties, love the car, love the horse----- What can I say: Thanks for sharing a little of you.

I'm always amazed by the paths that we must travel to get us where we need to be.

Sevens, you are one of the most interesting people here. I have loved your elegant style and sophisticated sense of humor since being on PS… To have the interest turned my way is a great compliment.

Hmmmmmm...Yes what Sevens One said.....those EYES

Thanks for sharing a little bit of you with us. What a truly interesting person you are....smart...funny....romantic....sexy...did I say 'those eyes'.......things that make you go hmmmmmmm! It's very inspiring to see someone be able to turn a passion into a career.

Libster and Sevens (Shhhhhhhh….don’t tell her, but I used my magical EYE powers to keep angela from noticing that part where I don't have any hair! Promise not to tell.)

Hi John

Thanks for sharing your story. I really enjoyed reading it. If you don''t mind me saying so, you look like a big teddy bear! I''ll send you some electronic hugs!
emcat.gif

So you like music, literature, cats and diamonds? I think we could have a good old chat together on those subjects.

I''m really enjoying everyone''s stories here and I feel like going on a holiday just to meet everyone. There are so many fascinating people.

BTW, my husband would like to know what model your Porsche is please.

Take care

Wow!

I just came to this portion of the board because CFlutist told me she had started a thread about me and I saw your thread and decided to see what this was all about before I posted anything.

My head is still realing from all the geek stuff you cramed into it the last couple of days, and now I am daunted, daunted I say by the standard of quality I am expected to meet or exceed in posting my who is thead. Is there NO rest for the busy???

Sheesh!

My dearest, most fun-loving, particular and artsy miss belle... Here''s hoping you will share many more pictures.

Just like your pursuit of music and where it seems to have led you. It''s been obvious that you have equally vast comprehension of both the science and the aesthetics, and I wondered where that came from. Beyond that, just judging from the extra effort you have made a few times to help explain various points to me, it is clear that you are ultimately able to focus all that knowledge on actually helping others. Brian knows how to spot more than just top quality diamonds...

Yo, Dog, it’s been good to have you aboard and asking the questions. Thanks, and I will pass along the compliments to Brian. He needs to take the loupe off of his eye and set the tweezers down once in a while and come up for air!

Have you seen the movie Sideways? Something tells me you have. Parts of your post reminded me of Maya''s description of why she loves pinot.

Lurchie… Have not seen that one, but it’s on the list now. Thank you – and thanks for the ego-boost. I’m coming to you for therapy if I ever need it!
31.gif

All you diamond experts, cut nuts, ideal rocks, what-have-you''s should see this movie. There seem to be a lot of parallels between wine lovers and diamond lovers. The movie''s about a wine geek who can analyze the bejesus out of something perfect and beautiful - sound familiar?

JQ - Glad I madeja smile!

John Quixote,

You do realize that you are every woman''s dream right? Because in case it hadn''t occured to you, a diamond-loving, cat-having musician who can also string a few words together (yeah, and has nice eyes) is pretty much the answer. Notice I did not say Porsche-driving. Not that I''d kick one out of my garage. Anyhoodle, thanks so much for sharing.

Lurchie

He''s not a musician - hes a drummer ;)

Ok I''ll get me coat.

John, such a fascinating read. Thank you

I enjoyed every bit of your story, John. I have enjoyed your posts since you joined here. And um...yeah, what the others say about your looks. That one where you are looking at Angela kind of sideways is soo sweet.

My daughter is an oboe player...should I worry?

Websailor. Too cool... I can set a horse just fine at full gallop, but have never tried it with a lance. Something else to put on the list. Tell CFlutist I love PF Changs and was 'gadzooks'-ing and 'avast'-ing how she could possibly have known that when I remembered it was in the filename.

Lettuce wraps. Yum.

Lop - Hee hee. Ah yes, the fish stories of youth and hardship, huh? Gotta love 'em.

There are some local tracks which open up for the Porsche club now and again. Members can take their cars out and do time trials, different courses, etc. I haven't gone out and opened it up like that yet - unless you're counting my accomplishments on Interstate 45.

John,

Earlier I''d read the short story, but just today, read the more complete one...and you really do need them both.

Very helpful, very interesting. Can''t help but to ask, since the one shoe dropped, if you have more to say about what led to Barry''s invitation to you to come to NY.

Regardless, seems like your path to WF may have been destined, indeed. I''ve very much enjoyed your involvement here. Also, you have a very special ability and natural motivation to connect with people...I''m sure factors that were part & parcel of the causes bringing you to WF.

Best to you and yours,

John, that was one of the best "who's who?" reads ever. Thanks so much for sharing yourself at last. I, too, have always enjoyed your posts and especially hearing more about you here inthis thread. You're definitely one of Pricescope's true gems...a true asset to this forum since you've been there as a consumer. How fulfilling it must be to work your passion! And it doesn't hurt that you have gorgeous eyes

and a girl who's a beauty.

Hey Angela, when are you going to join the pricescope family?
9.gif

Edited to add: You've always shared yourself through your posts, but I'm glad to have finally heard the full blown version.
31.gif
Hehe.....

hey, aren''t you from texas!? you can''t go riding without boots!! (i bet you''ve got some driving mocs for that porsche!)

angela is beautiful.....thanks for introducing her!

Ira, I appreciate the gracious words from one so calculating as you.

The NY invitation was a response to comments I made after seeing ACA for the first time... I couldn’t believe how incredible they were compared to all the diamonds I had seen prior, and I posted a glowing review. Barry invited me to come and compare what I had seen to his supers – it was a wonderful and unique experience. I got to meet Jonathan at GOG and see ACA, SC and 8* side by side along with branded & unbranded stones - all run through a rigorous gamut of testing, analysis, exposure to different light conditions, etc. Talk about a buffet of beauty! How could I *not* eventually decide to do this?

By the way, for anyone who takes a trip to GOG. There is a pizza place next door that is to die for.

Jeez, Kmom. You’re going to make me blush, and ever since I lost my hair that looks funny… It might hurt my self-esteem.

But then I can just go read your comments again, so no worries!

Thank you and Aloha.
And Aloha.

Driving mocs??? LOL! Porsche-puffs, right? As for sans boots, blame the ‘rents. Dad forever sported Adidas kicks when horsing around.

F&I and Q of H… Appreciate you both taking the time to read it all.

John:

Ive enjoyed your posts and photos of your family and Angela. It looks like you have a great time with your family!

Best,

Beautiful - person, life, passions, ethics, girlfriend, car, horses, music...how is this fair? LOL

And for the record you were my first knight in shining armor/hero here at price scope.

HI:

Great read--speaking of reading--you actually got through Don Q? To me, reading Cervantes was like trying to eat steak and peanut butter at the same time--just wouldn''t go down...But I like the old English guy you mentioned and several other Russian guys.....

BTW, my brother in law is a drummer to, but he isn''t nearly as cool as you
