** Weird - I just looked at the links and the video seemed stretched out. I'll post a photo so you can see the proportions correctly, but the sparkle bomb is there! (Does anyone know how to fix that??)

Here are the final specs: Center Diamond: 3.88 E VVS2 GCAL
1.03 F VS1 GCAL
1.034 E VS2 AGS
3/4 decagon band with 2.5MM melees

With the change in the dollar, it actually came in a bit under budget! But I did upgrade the size of the diamonds and get the band. Still, all in all, I'm very happy!

Hi @momofive ! I’ve decided to purchase a Jannpaul EC and I was wondering how you feel about the shape of yours? In some pictures the white series 2.0 EC almost seems to resemble a cushion shape but I can’t tell if it really looks that round in person. Do you feel like yours closely resembles a traditional emerald cut in person or are the edges more rounded?

Hi. Congratulations on your decision. I love my ring and wear it almost every day and receive many compliments. As you can see from my photo in the 10/23 post above my ring does not look like a cushion. I believe that comes from the dimensions as well as the prongs. If you look at my GCAL cert I can see how it might look a bit round at the corners, but I have the petite claw prongs and to me it looks exactly like I think an EC should look. I also loved working with Avery.

Best of luck. It will seem like a long time but it’s worth it. I’ve bought round diamonds using the great PS shoppers but I felt there were too many variables with the EC and I wanted a guarantee. JP has exacting standards.

I had been answering on my phone before and just now am looking at your beautiful rings in your avatar. Seems we both go for the rectangle shapes! With your lovely long, slim fingers the EC will look brilliant. It is really a very classic look. I will say, I also clean mine about every 2-3 wearings because the larger facets will show more smudges, but it's worth it. I just use a little Dawn in water, a soft brush and I blow dry it when I'm done with my hair. (That's what Jann Paul suggested.)

I have recently stumbled across JannPaul’s EC 2.0 on YouTube and found your journey thread. Your stunning ring inspired me to choose EC 2.0 for my 20th anniversary ring and I have initiated the process. Thank you for sharing!

@momofive the stones are incredibly bright and beautiful. Are you happy with JP’s setting? Do they hand forge their rings? They will be sending me CADs in a couple of weeks for a custom design. Working with CAD is a first for me so I am a bit apprehensive. My rings have all been made by Leon Mege, with his trademark low setting, delicate fluid lines and very delicate sharp claw prongs. So I hope the ring design process and end result will be smooth with JP as well.

Thank you for sharing all of these details. This is the level of detail that I was looking for! I so relate to the challenges of making all of these decisions. I also am hoping to work with JannPaul. I am drawn to both their EC2.0 but also the Decagon Nova and D10..... I am working to schedule my video conference with them.

Thank you. I know it helps to see things like this before embarking on the journey. Do many decisions to make.
I will say, I have 1.75 Decagon earrings, not the Nova. They are beautiful and the scintillation is amazing, but I find it hard to see the decagon shape, even when I hold it between my fingers like a ring. So, you'll get the extra faceting and all those benefits, but it still resembles a round to me.
