I''ve got the "blues"--sapphire reset!!

When I reset my diamond this summer, I decided to use my HOF semimount to reset my 1.73ct Ceylon sapphire. When I took the sapphire to my jeweler, we discovered that it needed some recutting and polishing to improve its performance. All of that has been completed and my ring is ready for its close up. I held my breath when the sapphire went in for the recut and repolish. I had a previous sapphire come back--from another jeweler--with a table so flat that you could skate on it

This stone was my replacement!! The results exceeded my expectations. The pendant was a birthday gift from my daughter, picked out my me. We are both excited that I have something from her to wear with with my ring

ETA: I'm so excited that you all have been so complementary on the color of my sapphire!! I was hoping that would come through in the photos and I'm glad that it did

I'm so please that everyone has commented on the color. That's my first prioriity in a colored stone!! I could be lured over to the colored stones forum, but that would be very bad for my budget

The pendant has a magnetic closure, the first I've ever had. It's very convenient, but requires a leap of faith to use

I was so glad to have this sapphire and be able to use it in my semimount. The joys of the peghead. Two upgrades and the stone change!!!
