Hello again my fellow Pricescopers!

After some serious consideration I've decided that my diamond doesn't have to have perfect stats to be perfect. I did purchase a .72 F, IF, Excellent everything, pretty much perfect in all ways. Then again I paid $5200 for it...

Here's what I want to do. I want to enlist the help of all those Pricescopers out there who have been at this much longer than I. I have a budget of around 5-6k tops. I am looking for a stone that gives me the best bang for my buck, size is important but visible inclusions are not acceptable. Not a huge care about color, as I see it, the yellow can give the stone some warmth. Cut and HCA are very important, my sister has a perfect .50 and I can't not beat hers so it must be excellent. I'm looking for a RB so that shouldn't be too bad
r you.

I offer this amount, not to bribe the fellow Pricescopers for their valuable time, but instead offer it as a thanks for all the work that everyone does on these boards.

Size will have to be an important factor, I couldn't really see the difference between a .72 and a .85, it would be hard to give up a perfect diamond for a not noticeable difference

Specifically what is it you don't like about your current stone?

Re: It's on again, get in here, money making oppertunity

I guess what it comes down to is the fact that I could have gotten a noticeably bigger stone for the money. As long as it's eye clean, has an excellent cut without noticeable yellow, I'll be happy as a peach. I just got caught up in getting the "best"

I am pretty sure your offer is against PS policy, but we will be happy to find you a stone for free!!! We do it all the time!

I don't think everyone loves warmth. I find that my F stone was brighter than my H stones. I am okay with I color sometimes, but I can see the tint in a J usually. So I generally recommend staying in the G-H-I range for a good value and relatively near colorless stone. I'll look and be back!

When you get into the .90's, you pretty much get past your price range if you stick to the medium colors and VS clarity.
I definitely think it is worth going up from .72 to .85, though, and that is a realistic goal.

Re: It's on again, get in here, money making oppertunity

I think you're right on color, the k was quite yellow when I compared it to the F. Even by itself it was quite yellow. Just as long as it's eyeclean with a perfect cut, we'll be on the money.

I hope I'm not violating any policies! If there is an issue with my payment scheme I can rather donate the funds to a cause of your choice!

IMO you probably need to get close to 1 ct to see a memorable increase in size. That maybe doable within your budget if you are willing to drop to H/I color and VS2/SI1 clarity. If you don't mind blue fluorescence and can stretch your budget a bit a Brian Gavin Blue may work: http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamonds/diamond-details/1.006-i-vs2-round-diamond-ags-104052029004

I bought an I VS2 Blue and think it's a great stone. Check my thread for photos: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/brian-gavin-blue-in-sara.157369/

Is second hand an option?

Re: It's on again, get in here, money making oppertunity

this one looks to be an interesting value as second hand but exceeds budget, although wonder if they are negotiable given it appears to be consignment?

Kenny was selling a WF expert selection ACA that is that size/color/clarity and price you are wanting. I'll see if I can find a picture of his ring and I would see if he is still selling his and if so-what the price is.

He is looking for a larger stone that that. It is a nice one, though!

I saw the .7 and though this was a little bigger so I figured it would be good. But re-reading I see he is okay with lower color/clarity as long as it's eye clean.

Here are 2 I would check out as well

.94 I VS2

1.02 I SI2 (check to see if it's eye clean-I've owned 2 eye clean stones before that were SI1 and SI2)
