here are two more hand shots...the different lighting makes the stone look so different. the ''colorful'' one is in my office where the walls are cream and the sunlight is diffused...the other one is downstairs in our living room where the lighting is more ''bright'' and cool feeling.
now I need to try to take some good ''stone'' shots...aka see if i can get those arrows!

Oh Mara, that''s so beautiful. It actually brought a tear to my eye knowing how happy this must make you! I don''t know if you remember, but you helped us out so much (almost 2 years ago) when my now husband and I were looking at rings! It was your influence that got me from .8''s and .9''s to the 1.14 baby that I love so much!!!

The stone is really fabulous and it just looks spectacular, I am more excited even now that I have the stone than when I was waiting for it. There is nothing like having it in person to play around with vs seeing images!
I honestly don''t even notice a difference in color. I''m sure it is there but it is not as though I look at it and think..oh it''s definitely a J. The sparkle and the blinding light off of this thing, the scintillation, the arrows, everything else is mesmerizing me way more than looking for inclusions or color. Now I know why all those J in Platinum rings were speaking to me, there is hardly a difference going on! Honestly, face down, the thing looks the damn same as my H stone, but just way bigger.
The stone is an SI2 and if you look at the GIA plot, it looked a bit messy. I was a bit unsure but Brian said the inclusions were good looking. I can''t even see anything! Granted I have not sat down with the loupe and really looked at the stone but wearing it all day, not one thing was visible to me. So it really was a fabulous pick. The color, the clarity allowed for me to get this stone for relatively little money and so much more size and in reality the choice was better than I could have ever imagined.
Pyramid, the trade-in policy is that you trade it in for what you paid for it, not what it''s worth today...don''t I wish! WF may very well relist my old stone at higher since the cost of stones has gone up significantly since I got that stone last year. Or maybe not, I am not sure what their policies are on relisting.

So I have to share- one of my coworkers lurks on this site all the time, and this morning she said to me, hey have you seen Mara''s new ring?! And I was like WHAT?! She upgraded again?! And my coworker said yeah, it looks great! And I was like, geez, what is she at now, 3 carats ?!!!! And she said no, I don''t think so...
Then another coworker (a guy) butts in and is like, Who''s Mara?! And we''re all, oh, this girl on this diamond forum.. I swear we were talking like we knew you and my guy coworkers were totally baffled. hehe.
Of course, I came here immediately to see the pics and have been waiting for the hand pics too...... and they are awesome!

The 1.6ish looks way too big for your hand. In my professional opinion, the 1.2ish is much more appropriate for your beautiful slender fingers. Greg...props.

I think I just found an INCLUSION!! With the loupe of course. Then I saw it for one tiny split second on the actual ring but now it''s gone and I can''t find it again. Very interesting! This is the first time I''ve ever been able to actually see an inclusion with a loupe, my eyes must be horrible!
