(I had the same thing happen to me with a jeweler talking me into a size I did not want, and I ended up having it resized because I can''t stand my rings being snug at all!!!)
I don''t think you will be having Diamond Shrinkage Syndrome anytime soon!...if so, and you feel the need to upgrade again soon...please send me your old "small" jewelry...LOL
The reason I decided to make the huge leap in carat sizes was because of the halo I had around my original ring. I tried on 2 carats and then went to 2.5 and to be honest, it did not look that much bigger than my original ring. But then I tried on 3 carats, I knew it was the perfect size for me! And what was weird, even the husband agreed... ; )
I had to tell him it was like a TV, you get used to the size so we should get the biggest one!
And even though the ring is I colored, it looks amazingly white almost 99% of the time. The only time it has looked slightly yellow is when I put it next to my friend''s F color. She has been subsequently banned from my house!
It may no longer be a dream of yours...but for the rest of us...it sure is! Shazaam! That is one beauty. That simple setting is PERFECT for that stone.
Please post more photos! Profiles...flowers...get creative for us...you can serve a tea party off the top of it!
