There's a place on Maui called the Olivine Pools.
It's a picturesque tidal pool area and the surrounding rock is all peppered with little green crystals......Peridot!
Of course, Pele sends bad luck if you take anything...............

Unfortunately the current lava flow has destroyed hundreds of homes. There’s a whole beach on the island in a different location that consists entirely of olivine crystals. It’s pretty impressive to see. This pic doesn’t show the green color too well, but it’s defintely a green sand beach.
