Is this real Alexandrite?

I inherited some of my grandma's stuff recently and found this beautiful ring. I'm thinking it may be real Alexandrite as it was bought in the 1970s in the Ural Mountains. Didn't get it appraised yet, but wanted to see what you guys think. There is an obvious colour change from pale pink to green when going into the sunlight. Also, inscriptions on the back of the ring are in Russian for sure, but hard to make out.

You can also google Russian jewelry hallmarks to get some more information. The photo isn't clear enough for me to read the hallmarks. The mark on the right is usually the metal purity and on the left can be a makers mark or location mark.

Also you can google Soviet jewelry (which apparently is very collectible) and see if you see anything similar
